Hulk (AEMH) vs Superman (JLU)

Haha. If you take out the music and context behind the scene, you'd think Superman was actually the evil one:

-Darkseid spared his son (who was trying to kill him).
-Darkseid wanted to leave.
-Superman wanted Darkseid to die.
-Superman threatened to beat Darkseid to death with his bare hands.

😛

YouTube video Superman was laying still after Darkseid dropped the globe on him. But reacted instantly when Darkseid grabbed him by the throat. So maybe a flash ko? /shrug

Of course, on the other end, Superman's feat was actually real, not hyperbole. The asteroid was summoned by Darkseid, it was huge, and it going to wipe out all life on the planet, even the city sized meteor that killed the dinosaurus didn't kill all life, obviously, so at the very least it would have been of comparable size to that. Pushing a city sized asteroid away that's moving at relativistic speeds > any strength feat in AEMH.

When was this? The only Kryptonite asteroid I remember happened in Superman/Batman: Public Enemies animation movie w/c I'm not sure as canon to the JLU.

More stunned/trying to recover his breath, imo.

Legacy part 1.

Why wasn't Superman able to lift that silly globe? 😛 bad showing for Supes there.

He didn't really react instantly. DS monologued, Batman threw an explosive batarang at DS's wrist (how a tiny explosion like that could stagger DS is silly, btw) and Luthor showed up with a few shots, etc.

Superman was down from 1:37 and only showed to be fully recovered by 2:06 of the clip. Not out cold but helpless enough to be considered a legal KMC KO in my book. 😛

Not really. Darkseid was a peer to him in strength and even in comics things thrown at peers hurt more than it should.

He was just stunned. He'd been forced through a building not just by the globe, but by Darkseid's force too.

He'd have to be completely incapacitated to be knocked out.

I'm saying there was movement. Once Darkseid grabbed him, Superman started sorta....twitching lol.

I didn't say anything about a Kryptonite Asteroid.

It was in the two part episode Little Girl Lost, in Superman TAS.

Early in part two a Doctor is talking to Clark about a large comet that should be passing by Earth a safe distance away. Darkseid ended up installing a large magnet on Earth for the purpose of directing that comet to Earth and cause a global catastrophe.

Not really.

DS's monologue (when Supes was still helpless/stunned) started at 1:37, Batman's explosive batarang blew up at 1:52 and he was still shown on screen as helpless/stunned. Isn't there a 10 second rule for KOs here? A forum KO doesn't have to mean out cold, I thought.

He wasn't incapacitated, he was stunned. A stunned superman=/=forum ko.

Exactly. I guess people just have different opinions on it. Even Darkseid tells him not to go to sleep yet.

The last fight they had...Darkseid won it in the beginning. He koed Superman with the Daily Bugle globe that sent him through the building. Darkseid woke him back up by pounding on him.

So is it two fights? Or just one?

And I'm going to use my trump Hulk card:

'Superman was holding back'.

From what I knew, "incapacitated" is when one is unable to defend oneself or be unable to do any actions, w/c is what it looked like there. If DS didn't lift him up to choke him, there was little indication that he would have been able to stand up. To me, it looks more like he was stunned enough to be considered incapacitated. Again, KO's don't have to be out cold in forum conditions, otherwise, EVERY fight where a character eventually stands up would be not considered a KO (w/c would disqualify many recent Thor KOs for the past year).

Sorry, somehow I read "kryptonite meteor" somewhere, I must be mixing things up in my head as I have a horrible cold atm... 🙁

Part 2? Ok, downloading that episode. I'll be honest, I watched every single JLU episode but the Superman animation series was showed here at an awkward time so I missed many parts of it.

But then, based on that, any character with a HF loses - Wolverine was 'incapacitated' by Elektra by her sais, for example. Should we go for a 10 count? I think that's a bit too short, and not because I think Superman wins here.

Especially since, a few minutes later, Superman was strong enough to manhandle Darkseid.

I'm going to use my trump card...looking at fts, Hulk is more powerful.

He was on the ground, not moving at all with his eyes closed. Darkseid lifts him off the ground and he was still limped. It's obvious what happened.

That was the case when darkseid broke his back too. He wasn't incapacitated there too. More like creating a sense of drama. Again, I don't see how this is relevant here. Darkseid was a peer and in case of S:TAS stronger than superman and he was stronger than ever in Destroyer.
