I can confirm that it was a chunk of Manhattan (around half from the looks of it).And I still maintain that offshoot comic "feats" should not be referenced unless mods allow offshoot media to be allowed (for example the Capt America: First Vengeance comic is canon to the movie but shouldn't be used when Avenger "feats" are being requested.).
PS. Also, do you have scans of the Superman beyond meteor "feat"? The preview never shows Supes doing anything to the meteor and I think scans need to be provided before you can even consider using the instance as any kind of proof. 😛
