Dragon Age 3

Haven't played an elf yet. But it is weird how your Elf looks like a science experiment, then you've got Solas who is pretty buff in comparison, and other elves like that Ben-Hassrath guy...Gat I think. All the other elves look normal. They can't have not noticed that.

But then again, your Male Qunari looks weird as hell body wise when compared to the few other Qunari that show up in the game.

This game seems to be soooooooo buggy. I'm glad I'm waiting a few months before getting it.

In one part of the game, my Qunari's face was off screen because they were so tall. It was somewhere around Skyhold I think, maybe that scene where you're approaching Cole about letting him stay.

I didn't get that, but the whole time my Qunari just seemed to have an awkward body. Standing at weird angles, having to look down so hard he broke his neck and clipped it through his clothes. When he kissed Cassandra he had to lean down super far, etc...

It's like they didn't fully take into account how a size difference meant the model needed to act differently from human sized from elf sized from dwarf sized. All their models need to act differently to reflect their girth and stature.

Yeah the kisses with Qunari look really awkward and not animated properly. And I saw the same things Wei in some scenes with the camera not showing the head randomly

Getting this for Kristmus...biscuits

Finished the game.

Overall, great game. It was really well done. All areas were of top quality and they didn't feel copy/pasted. Voice acting was equally impressive.

Personally, I think I like the first game the best. I'm not sure why but I felt like the story wasn't as memorable and the pacing was off. It wasn't as "Biowary" as previous games and series. It might be a bit tailored to a certain gamer than myself. Doesn't mean I didn't love it but I still think the first game is better.

Meanwhile, in DA2 I just beat the duel with the Arishok. Man, that was a b*tch of a fight. Still not sure that's the right call, fvck Isabela.

Same here. I think I know why you feel that way.

This article pretty much spells it out - http://johnswritersblock.com/2014/12/02/ending-dragonage-inquisition/ .

And it's pretty much true, even

Spoiler:
the ending only tells you who became the new Divine and a bit of basic stuff. You hear about none of your companions, or none of the side missions or even main missions you did mattering, etc...

Guys, play Jade Empire.

Good article. I believe that criticism for Bioware and their endings is because they are so good at creating worlds and narrative throughout the game. I also believe that people will rarely ever be happy with thier endings because deep down, people have an idea what they want.

Unlike the ending of Halo 2, which the narrative you had no control over, Bioware lets you influence major sections of the story which creates an expectation on how the story gets completed.

This isn't to say DA3 didn't do well at the end but it wasn't as bad as other endings in other games. I rather have DA3 ending then MSG4 1.5 hour marathon.

Overall, fantastic game. I just liked the first game better. The writer nailed it on the difference between DAO and DA3. DA0 was brilliant but it was first game so it had a chance to weave the story around the mythology of the world. DA3 is the 4th game in the series and didn't have that luxury.

When I look back, I can understand the criticism this game might have. The sidequests were not always fantastic and there was a lot of padding but it also fantastic areas to explore.

In the end, I will always believe KOTOR and Dragon Age have the best unique sidequests in Bioware history.

I can't tell you how many times I've beaten Jade Empire. I even had one Uber Closed Fist playthrough...one of the hardest things I've ever done.

Hug me my brother. That was the last game that I was ever utterly surprised from the twist. Never saw it coming for a second.

-manly hug of badassery-

Yeah. The first time I played it I didn't see any of it coming. The betrayal, who Death's Hand was, etc.. None of it.

It's not posting the right way but you get the idea

Now it's done right.

Just got this.
Played only 3 hours.
So far its pretty sweet.
Been runing around doing side quests.
Have to get into the crafting system and the other stuff.

No idea why i find this game so overwhelming =\

I'm usually lost with no idea where to go or what to do or go about things.

*Shrug* Same shit used to happen to me with Elder's Scrolls games.

^
Same with me .
Played 11 hours beat like 3 story missions I feel like I only completed like 1% of the game.

Loving it so far!

Frame rate on ps4 is pretty meh sometimes mostly during conversations.
Also if I want to respek my main character the game instantly freezes after spending my skill points and going back to the game.Did it like 8 times it crashed on me on each occasion.

Only happens when I do it with the main guy with party members I have no problem...mmm

Anyone else ran into this?
