I finally completed my second run of Origins with all the DLC. Only took me 125 hours. 😆Now to move on to DAII while I wait for this game to get down to my price range.
Yeah I did that several weeks ago in preparation for this game to come out. DA2 was as painful an experience as it was the first time I played it.
I have a question for anyone that may know. At the War Table concerning perks. What does the Focus perk do for you exactly?
I was going to edit my question out, but then I Googled "What does the Focus perk do for you exactly?" and this is what I learned. If there are any that may be interested.
1.) Once you get to Skyhold you unlock specializations. Every specialization tree has a Focus ability that consumes Focus instead of mana or stamina, and every Focus ability (except Mark of the Rift for some reason) has three tiers that must be unlocked. Higher tiers are more powerful versions but cost more Focus to use.
2.) I strongly doubt there is any way to respec your perk points, for a couple reasons. First, several of the perk abilities give you items (schematics, herbs, crafting materials) and one of them gives you a free ability point. If it were possible to respec your perk points then you could use that as an exploit to get infinite crafting items and ability points, which would break the game.
And second, some of the perks do things like increase your max item inventory or increase your max potions. If you were able to reset those perks then you could for instance wind up decreasing your inventory capacity to 60 while holding 75 items, which would probably literally break the game.
This game needs an update, the bugs are pretty annoying. I'll be in my menu, and it will try to delete my inventory, or bring me to the map screen and send me to a place that I did not choose to go to. What happened to the Game Testers? One of my save files even corrupted, and I had to choose a previous save form hours prior to the corruption. They really have to do something about this, because although the game is fun, these bugs are killing it for me.
I've finally bought this, and it's installing now.
EDIT:
Any kind of advice for n00bs? I'm going to be an elf, though I'm not sure how the classes work, or which difficulty to pick.
How does the shield work? Its either weapon and shield, or duel wield rogue for me.
And is this game super difficult? I might start with hard and save nightmare for later.

I wish I could help but it would take too long to explain, sir! 🙁
If you call, I could explain some shit while working out.

There is a character on your team that does weapon and shield perfectly. I did DWR on Hard and it was difficult at first. I gave my opinions on using the DWR on the other page.
