Hey, G.K.

The KMC Forum controls are, by default, set to:

"Automatically parse URLs".

In plain English, that means anything that even LOOKS like

"http://something something"

gets turned blue and takes you to a different page if clicked.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

All by itself, that isn't bad.

However, notice now one thing:

The BLUE version of any address is shorter in length than the full version of any address posted in my first post on this page.

Try to copy and paste the full version as a web address and it will take you to a proper webpage.

Try to copy and paste the BLUE version of a web address, however, and use that as a directing web address and you will likely get an "error" message.

This is because a significant portion of the address is swallowed up by an ellipse: "..."

Knowing this, I take the step of typing full URLs for image and link preservation and future copy and paste usage.
However, I take the step of posting a 2ND message, one where the URLs are formally parsed (made into blue, click-able links), for reader convenience.

Actually they are appearing as blue colored URLs in the quotes themselves , but in your original reply that's not the case .

You should get a mod to fix the problem .

Carver is making a valid point but he's stating it the wrong way.

The premise is correct; in order to see what defeats a character, you cannot simply look to whatever the greatest thing they've ever done is.

For instance, someone claimed earlier that Superboy Prime tanked a Universe destroying explosion or something to that effect.

Actually, he did not, the fight against Monarch caused a chain reaction effect. It wasn't one great big blow. Rather a very fast wave.
Earlier, Monarch set off a much smaller detonation that hurt Prime. Prime said as much himself. The explosion was powerful enough to wipe out an entire army. Strangely enough, Donna Troy, in the same proximity as the army, survived the blast, and protected a friend from that same explosion with her body. So we know that explosions can hurt Prime, and at that, explosions that Wonder Girl can survive and remain conscious against. (Proximity is another issue, though. There is often, though not always, discernible difference between taking a ground zero blast and getting hit with an otherwise all-consuming shockwave.)

Moot either way. Ignore that Superboy Prime had the Guardian Amp when he took the blast (that's why he was in the form of SuperMAN Prime and not SuperBOY Prime when it happened).
Ignore that it was a chain reaction effect destroying whatever Universe it was in.
It's still moot. For it's not something the Avengers are likely to be using against Prime in their own Universe even if they CAN replicate such a devastating effect. Moreover, it's unnecessary.

(If they find a way to safely remove bystanders from the equation, though, this does become an option. Or if the Avengers find a way to remove this fight to arena where no one else will get hurt. And this team is probably expertly equipped to do the latter what with Tony Stark and Thor on the team. More on that later. For now, back to the "enduring explosions proves invincibility" fallacy ...)

Explosions are ultimately rapidly expanding gas and/or concussion waves. They aren't something solid being directed against a person's head. Solid objects driven to the head, though? That DOES affect Superboy Prime. It's been proven too many times to dispute. Fists to the face. THOSE hurt him. And those the Avengers have in their ability to deliver with great force.

I love how you nitpick all this stuff in a feat to disregard it, but then when an argument's used against your claim(Superman being powered-down) you say you're not convinced when the case is just as strong if not stronger than your's against SBP.

In lieu of Marvel Team Up #116, perhaps the following might make for an even better showing.

Thor #2, Volume 2, battle field removal of the powerful Destroyer:

That's actually a very bad argument of Thor being very likely to BFR Superboy Prime. It took dying and coming back to Destroyer having owned the Avengers team Thor was with for him to revert to BFRing Destroyer. And Thor was already familiar with Destroyer. I think it took him him at least one full fight against Juggernaut before he thought it best to revert to BFRing in a follow-up fight. And how many fights has he had with Hulk that didn't involve BFRing? Or numerous other opponents? If anything, SBP's more likely to exploit his speed advantage(note I didn't say blitz) than Thor is to BFR, especially with team mates having his back.

Of course, you're going to ignore this because you don't have a counter.

Good tactic lol (and yes, in the Laughing Magician persona, I'm laughing out loud).

You should check the Superman VS Wonder Woman thread on the Superman forums to see this endlessly done.

It just seems to be against male Kryptonians. He thinks that Wonder Woman is stronger than Superman, and Supergirl is superior overall. Despite he had no real hard evidence for either, almost entirely lip service for Supergirl, and ignored or tried to justify(and failed) every example proving him wrong on either didn't count.

While I'm at it, why don't you have me find 3 instances of Thor using a godblast against street levelers?

You can't just throw out valid examples because doing so suits your argument.

Standard for him. You won't get anything but this.

WWH, no, I can't see him doing it.

Edit: @Galan: Yeah, he had been fighting through the night, had been blasted left, right and centre, been speed blitzing Flashes, then had his suit ripped off, then had been fighting all those top tiers....and then got the beat down. A handful of sun, and bam he's back again, ready to fight Sodam Yat Ion...

Wow..

When you put it like that, Sodam Yat has to be the worst Ion ever. O_o

He couldn't beat Prime after all that?

Are you trying to argue it makes him the worst Ion ever because SBP would've been very weakened? If that's the case, IIRC he had said he was near full-power before he started fighting Ion, and was coming back to full strength during the fight.

I think Sodom losing to SBP isn't as bad as what I remember happening to Kyle in SINESTRO CORPS WAR.

*Channels Mindset* That never happened.

Johns Kyle lost all his confidence and skill... and almost seemed emo-ish..

And SPB didn't "look" nearly re-powered by that scan. I know he did make that claim, but the scene makes him look almost out of juice until the sun hit him.

Ok, a bit of context I left out.

SBP was being soundly thrashed by all those top tiers: Alan Scott, Superman, WW, Supergirl, PG, Wonder Girl (I put her in this list for a reason), MM, Miss Martian (also in the list for a reason)..he got a hit of sunlight on his hand, and zoomed up into the sky. The morning sun hit him, he basked in it for a few minutes, then the Guardians showed up with the new Ion, then they went at it.

Plus, SBP won really because he punched Ion into a nuclear facility where they had a ton of lead.

Idk what we're talking about, but Sodam Yat sucks.

Somehow, my explanation made things no clearer.

Perhaps the following will help.

Note the following URL, which I'm making up on the spot just to illustrate and demonstrate what is happening.

It is simply "http://" then the numbers 0-9 and letters a-z written twice in a row.

http://0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

Okay?

Note, that, although it is "http://somethingsomething", it is not blue.

That's because the "Automatically parse URLs" box was not checked when I sent my above post the ultimate time.

If the "Automatically parse URLs" box is NOT checked, you get to see the entire string.

http://0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

(Note that I have included an attachment circling exactly where you find this option when you or anyone else writes a message on this board.)

NOW, however, let me send the message with "Automatically parse URLs" CHECKED.

Note that this is how messages on KMC are normally sent.

Note that, though you can see the full address in the screenshot I took of this message, you now only see part of the address, not the whole.

Note that it has ellipses, these three little dots "...", where none were before.

It is shorter.
It is underlined.
Information, to look at, is now MISSING.

And, of course, it is now BLUE.

http://0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789abcd
efghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

Now here's the all-important thing.

When you QUOTE somebody, say even me with that double number letter string address, all the information originally being quoted IS in fact there, and being quoted.

That is,

http://0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

... is being recorded by KMC.
You don't SEE all of that as a reader, but KMC's computer sees all that, and takes you to the same place the full string does, even though, to YOU, a normal human reader, it only looks onscreen like

http:// 0123456789abcdefghijklmnopq...lmnopqrstuvwxyz

and NOT

http://0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz

Problem is, when you copy and paste, INSTEAD of quoting,

you don't record the original string.

You get that shortened ellipsed representation recorded INSTEAD of the original string.

Quoting gives you the original, though it doesn't look like it.

Copying and pasting gives you an imposter.

Why don't you parse your URL strings then ?

I quoted your first post on this page though .
