Helspont Vs Annihilus

Annihilus never really impressed me as much as the new Helspont. His period in the lime-light in annihilation was just dissapointing.

Gonna vouch for Helspont here.

Helspont one-shot Superman with a blast when they first met, and backhanded him from the Earth to the Moon, casually, into unconsciousness, the second time, both times calling him the most powerful being on Earth, just to make a point.

One of his 'heralds' with a very small part of his power was powerful enough to one-shot Martian Manhunter, who is a beast in the DCnU.

He'd push Annihilus' shit in, hard.

I think people are forgetting that back-hand KO in the recent Annual wasn't the first time Helspont has casually owned Superman with a single attack. He also did so here:

Lets face it, New 52 'spont is a LOT more powerful than his pre-reboot incarnation ever was. He STOMPS Annihilus.

Helspont has grown a bit in power since his earlier Image days. Swatting Superman aside like a bug, and giving him a concussion in one shot was quite the feat, I think he has a good shot at taking this.

Grifter DESTROYED Spont though. I can't see Grifter doing that to Annihilus.

Read above. He didn't.

@Prepman...

I disagree.

He didn't actually beat Helspont just showed he was a threat and could hurt him. Which just means that Grifter is powerful not that Helspont is weak.

I agree. Grifter was owning him though, he even sensed fear from Helspont. If the fight would have continued, HS would have lost. It even appeared as if Grif wasn't going all out.

It was Helspont's plan all along. It was sort of a chess game, so he didn't really beat him.

Actually the scans show the contrary. Hellspot tested Grifter and when Grifter reached his limits and saw that he can't win he run away. 😐

Captain Atom must have been off-planet when Helspont told Supes he was the most powerful being on earth.

CA would push 'spont's shit in.

Is this for real? i am a few weeks behind in my reading, but is this for real?

Sensing Hellsponts Fear by
>Giving his best shot, and failing.
