No, he folded when he realized that anti-evil doesn't affect good and that he can abuse that. He changed his stance completely when he realized part of it helped him.

Notice that he isn't folding when the canon "power to repel magic" quote hurts his case, despite it being just as canon as the "power to repel evil" quote.

Yes, but we clearly see the in game references in TP and the fact it has never repelled good magic. Only repels evil magic. Thanks for posting all the quotes verifying how important evil is here.
