Lol, the only thing ever shown for Russell's speed is that he's fast enough to be a blur to normal human eyes. Relatively speaking, that doesn't say a lot. He's still not fast enough, nor even strong enough if he were, to stop Link from killing him simply by drawing the Master Sword.
