Favorite comic movies.

1. Spiderman 2
2. X-Men 2
3. Avengers
4. The Dark Knight
5. Iron Man

IMO its completely ridiculous to rank MOS anything lower than a 5. Especially considering some of the shitty comic books movies we've gotten.

Not if you thought the movie sucked.

I find people give the most nonsensical reasons why it sucks. Like some people put it in the same class as Green lantern, which is just stupid. Most of the people I talked to were just expecting the superman version of TDK, which was just way too much to hope for.

People expected it to be average and its average, I don't see where the disappointment comes from.

MOS had some of the most impressive special effects related action sequences ever shown in a superhero movie. A first for any movie really.

So it was far from "Average."

Don't know who you talked to, but based on all the opinions I got leading up to release, expectations were sky-high because of nolan's name alone.

You are a French Kang fan. Shut up. sneer

Man, I thought they were both very good movies. Like 8/10 superhero wise, not masterpieces but very solid.

According to boxoffice mojo MOS has made 520 million worldwide so far.

I'd also like to point out MOS still has Brazil and Japan markets to open yet.

WB should officially greenlight Man of Steel 2 and Justice League very shortly

Avengers was the best comics super hero movie to date.

Let me guess: because it had Thanos in it, right?

Action was great, but special effects alone can't carry a movie, hence the steep drop rates. If DC wants a true Block Buster like the Avengers, they need to up their scrip/direction and insert some joy/fun into this shit.

I'm legitimately worried as to how such a meh director like Snyder will be able to juggle various personalities needed in a JLA movie. I seriously want a good JLA movie, but if it flops, that's pretty much it. Take your time, do it right and do it well.

Even though I loved the movie, I do agree it didn't have the kind of humor and chemistry between the characters that would be essential for a JLA movie.

I don't think Snyder will be directing the JL movie. I hope not. He should stick with the MOS sequels.

Great movie, MoS beats IM3 into the dust and I am not even much of a superman fan. Looking foreward to a sequel, maybe with Lex bringing back Faora (and Kryptonian tech) from the black hole? 😄

Rough rating
1: Avengers, X-Men First Class
2: The Dark Knight, Iron Man 2, Man of Steel, X-Men 1&2
Worst: Green Lantern, X-Men 3, Wolverine Origins, Superman 3 & 4 & Returns

Remember, it's not DC, but Warner Bros. And Nolan's Batman trilogy wasn't fun compared to the Avengers and both TDK/TDKR made over a billion dollars. TDK adjusted for inflation is one of the best box office runs in our lifetime.

👆 Finally someone placing X-Men First Class in the top tier. 😎
