He didn't feel useless to me. Hell, in terms of power, I rank him 4th in that film right ahead of Cap. Hawkeye crippled the helicarrier with 2 (count 'em 2) measley arrows whilst Cap struggled to shoot guys with a machine gun and got his ass kicked by Loki. And once Hawkeye got the to the roof, he was the one quartebacking the team, not Cap. Real sh*t Cap felt like a half-step up from Black Widow, one of my few gripes with the movie.

I heard Thor has some funny moments for this sequel i'm okay with that but i hope they haven't made him the joke character.

As long as he says The Line I really don't care. Of course movie Thor doesn't use Shakespearean English but I'll hope.

I didn't think he was useless either, and hell, I don't think anybody really called him useless until the movie was out of theaters. Whenever a film or anything is popular, there's going to be people trying to find the chink in its armor, even if the flaw is completely made up.

According to spoilers Thor is clearly now the most powerful Avenger.

I just hope they make Thor interesting. He is my favorite Avenger from the comics but he is rather boring in the films (aside from at the beginning of Thor).

What spoilers? There is one trailer that shows a giant blue lightning bolt levelling a city. Dont see Thor destroying a city filled with people but who knows.
