I may be wrong, as this is only hearsay and I haven't seen the film, but if true, it would definitely put Thor up there with Kryptonians. Sounds like a Routh Superman feat TBH.
Right. So here it is

film starts in Sokovia where hydra have Loki's sceptre from the 1st movie. It gets straight into the action which is the scene in the trailer in the snowy forest and the big castle. The Avengers make short work of it but Stark is given a vision by Scarlet Witch in which he sees all the Avengers dead on a barren dead earth (which is where you see the Capts shield broken. They get back to Stark tower which is now Avengers HQ replete with new giant A sign on the front and Stark and Banner find an AI within the sceptre which they think they can use as the final piece they need for the Ultron programme. They only have 3 days before Thor leaves with the sceptre so don't have long. Stark is having a party to celebrate defeating Hydra and Stark leaves Jarvis working on the Ultron code and he inadvertently succeeds although he doesn't understand why. Ultron is initially confused as starts learning why he has been created in a short scene with Jarvis trying to explain. He uses the Internet and sees all the destruction mankind is causing to itself and becomes aggressive and attacks and destroys Jarvis before taking over some of the damaged Iron Legion that Stark has built as back up for the Avengers. There's the scene from the trailer with the fight at Stark Tower before Ultron escapes with the sceptre. Amongst attacking military facilities across the globe Ultron goes to Wakanda and steals all the Vibranium which he uses to armour himself. He also kidnaps a Dr that works with the Avengers who is an expert in medical tech used to rapidly heal wounds which is needed at the end of the opening scene to help Hawkers after he takes a bullet. During the scene in Wakanda the Avengers find them and a fight ensues but Scarlet Witch manages to give all the Avengers visions which incapacitated them all except for Ironman and Hawkeye. This also means Banner and her doing so sets him on a rampage hence the Hulk v Hulkbuster fight. Ultron uses that diversion to escape with the Vibranium as previously mentioned. He gets the Dr to use her cradle to built an artificial life form that is an amalgamation of organic tissue with each cell coated in Vibranium. At this point he breaks Loki's sceptre to reveal the mind stone which he implants onto the artificial beings head (which you've already guessed by now is Vision). His plan is to transfer his own Ultron programme into Vision to become unstoppable. The Avengers attack and steal Vision before he can finish. One of the other things Ultron has been trying to do is get the world's nuclear launch codes but is being foiled at every turn by an anonymous hacker who is changing the codes faster than Ultron can hack them. This anonymous hacker turns out to be Jarvis. During Ultron trying to create Vision, Scarlet Witch reads Ultrons mind through Vision. Something she was unable to do while he was in robotic form but was able once he connected to vision who is partly organic. She sees that Ultron is going to destroy the world and her and Quicksilver turn against Ultron.Ultron retreats back to Sokovia where he uses the rest of the Vibranium to create a giant antigravity engine which starts to lift a massive chunk of land into the sky. He does this because he is obsessed with meteors and their 'purity' in how they can wipe out a species.
Suffice to say the Avengers stop him but not before having to evacuate the floating landmass. During this Quicksilver sacrifices himself to save Hawkeye and a young boy he's attempting to rescue. A massive fight takes place at the point where the reverse button to send the chunk of land hurtling back to earth in which the Avengers have to hold off a **** tonne of Ultrons minions. During the fight and evacuation and they leave Scarlet Witch to guard the button as they go looking for stragglers and she sees the aforementioned death of her twin brother which distracts her long enough for a damaged Ultron minion to push the button. As the chunk hurtles towards the ground Ironman and Thor work together to smash it into relatively harmless pieces. They all give themselves a nice congratulatory pat on the back...job done.
Side story is Banner and Blackwidow getting together. Banner knows it won't work so does a disappearing act after the fight in the stealth mode equipped flyer. Thor leaves earth to investigate the infinity stones leaving Cap and Ironman at the head of a new Avengers team consisting of them, black widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, War Machine and Falcon.
Oh...and vision can lift Mjolnir. Much to everyone's astonishment and bemusement.
Oh. And Hawkeye has a pregnant wife and 2 kids that no one but Romanov and Fury knew about.
Final scene is Thanos putting on the so far stoneless infinity gauntlet.
I've missed some stuff and confusingly jumbled the timeline a bit jumping back and forward but I'm writing on a phone and doing it as I remember and it's 3:30am here and I've been watching a triple bill since 7pm. But that's the jist. Read it at your peril.
Incidentally, I give it a 7/10. Would be better if not for what in my opinion is Ultron's shit method of trying to destroy the world.

once they recover vision there's a disagreement between Soak and Banner against Cap, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch about implanting Jarvis into Vision. During the fight Quicksilver disconnects the power finalising the transfer but Thor, who's been away with Selvig enhancing the premonition he got when Scarlet Witch got inside his head in some magic pool, smashes in and uses lightning to power up the cradle and finish the transfer of Jarvis into Vision
