Thought the presentation was underwhelming. Too much time spent talking about watching TV through the device, which I don't care about. Not enough about games. The new controller looks nice.
And I don't give two shits about used games, so that's a non issue for me.
New COD looked like COD with good graphics.
Forza is always good so it's pretty cool that that will be a launch title.
The PS4 presentation was better.
What did you like about the PS4 presentation over this?
I also didn't like how they make a big deal about a Halo TV Show and then don't even offer so much as a single character still or even a sheet of pencil sketched concept art.
It's like they forgot that the purpose of a games system is to play games.
In about a year or two when sales start flagging they'll probably release a stripped down version without the need for Kinect or daily online connection, maybe even without the cool but not very useful (to me) television feature, for $100-200 less than whatever the Xbox One will cost at launch. One can dream, anyway.
I will say that Xbox One is a pretty weird name to give a next gen system. And what's up with the TV thing..I really doubt people would want to pay for a system just for some weird Microsoft cable: but I could alwasy be wrong.
So far neither system seems appealing and I kind of feel bad for the Wii U in a way.

Depends on what they do with cable?
If it just controls your cable then whatever.
But if it offers something better than what cable providers offer, that's cool. (at least in Canada).

Maybe the Xbox One could've been backwards compatible if Microsoft didn't cram all that useless shit in like Skype and the port you can hook your TV cable up into. What's the point? Oh boy even though I can already watch cable on my TV, I get to watch it through my console on my TV now. Yip-friggin-y. Oh and what's this? Now we can use two apps at the same time. Sony's in trouble now.
PS4 isn't backwards compatible as well. Either people have a major issue with MS as a company or this is typical gamer bullshit where they complain about everything until it comes out and they buy it because it has games.
I'm annoyed that it's not backwards compatible (so that's now 4 consoles I will have to hook up to my TV to play my older games) but XBOX One isn't the only next-gen that doesn't have it.
Also, it's called FEATURES...they are not taking away the ability to play video games. I don't understand why people ***** about features in a device. If the features suck, that's different but they just announced what the device can do outside of playing games.
