I guess nobody will have to worry about Nintendo going "always" online.

Looks like zombie fans burnt by the fact DR3 being exclusive to XBoner still has a much better game to look forward to.

This is one of the times I actually agree with EA.

I figured something like that would happen.

Unless there is a really really really delicious game for the One, I will not buy the system. One of my clan homies was banned from Black Ops 2, on 360, because of using the double shield glitch (where you can equip 2 shields). It was a petty ban because someone reported him because he got killed to many times, by this friend of mine, in a previous match (it provides no advantage in the game and it actually hinders you, imo...the "turtles" are easy to kill because they have no actual weapons...it was a stupid reason to ban someone's account).

There are worse situations of Live bans that I have read about which makes there too much of a risk to even use the system out of fear of getting banned and losing lots of money on games spent.

Gamers need to stop being stupid morons and boycott this type of business. If gamers would stop consuming "raw-deal" products, the purveyors wouldn't have a business.

Stop with the Zynga model...stop with the XBoxOne model (lulz, that's the new "screw gamers over" label for what MS did: XBoxOne Model).

I've never been banned on Xbox live

but i did have someone that was going to report me to Rockstar when playing Max Paynes 3 multiplayer but it seemed to be all talk and no action.

I haven't been banned either but it is very risky.

**** the license bullshit.

Does someone have clear dates on the release yet? I heard PS4 is on "Holidays 2013" and XBox One is somewhere around Nov.

Figured as much, It was pretty obvious something like this will happen

Problem is I read somewhere that since you can share your games with "your family", if one of those accounts gets banned, your console gets banned as well, so... time to buy a new Xbone!!!

http://www.noshitshurlock.com/getting-banned-on-xbox-live-will-block-access-to-games/

EDIT: Now they're trying to back up from it

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/gaming/news/a490402/xbox-one-account-ban-comment-clarified-by-microsoft.html

They say that refered to the 360 instead of the bone... yeah right.

No Live no Games is the clear message this time around

No Supported Country -> No Live -> No games
Ban -> No Live -> No games

Good luck trying to spin this ****-up M$!

Both to be released in November, no exact date though.

Nobody already knew that when Microsoft announced the 24 hour check-in (in other words, the One's parole officer)?

Funny thing is, where I come from, ppl can just "crack" consoles, using things such as chips to bypass DRM or simply sell game discs with their internet downloadable components already available in the bootleg copy. The funny thing is, with the gamers here appreciating the impact of piracy has to the developers they love, piracy has dropped significantly here (raids and police action in the past had nearly zero effect on piracy) and businesses w/c focus more on legal copies have been booming of late.

Sadly, with the advent of Xbox's DRM, I fear (as ppl tend to save their bandwidth for their PC here and not really their consoles due to highspeed internet being pricey and ppl. It really caring much about the online components of console play) that this would actually encourage ppl to buy "cracked" XBox One's when such a machine becomes prevalent simply so they can avoid the whole 24 hour check in. Bottom line, this might encourage piracy and not diminish it.

Extra Credits had an episode about gaming in Brazil lately. And they brought up a point how piracy in Brazil is likely due to much worse conditions for purchasing games than in the US for example.

Yeah, just to throw some numbers in. Pirated or "cracked" consoles would market for an aditional 50-80 bucks on your part (tho you void your warranty). Most "cracked" consoles lose internet play/features. In exchange, pirated games go for 2-3 dollars each and are common almost everywhere you look. You can find a "cracked" copy of a game just a week or 2 after the game's official release (on rare occasions, even come out before the game is released).

In contrast, very few stores (only one does it consistently) carry a solid library of legal (it's called "original" where I come from) copies and they are priced around 60-80USD per (w/c is a LOT better for when they used to be priced at 80-120USD per back in the day).

15 years ago, pirated game stores were so prevalent that they would actually have full sized stores in our main malls. Up until 10 years ago, legal copies of games were pretty damned near hard to get. Nowadays, you might need to look a little harder too look for pirated games but they are still pretty damned common. However, stores that sell legal copies have quite literally tripled in number since then and can be found in almost every major city.

Let me just say that I buy ALL my games original, I sell none of my used games (but I DO lend them to my friends) and my consoles are ALL connected to the internet (are not "cracked"😉 in case ppl are curious.

I like her, even if her Tropes vs. Women is pretty basic so far.

I think she's completely insane. I also don't think spamming her account with obvious troll comments is going to smarten her up.

Why do you think she is insane?

If you tell me what thread is appropriate and reply there I'll check it.

Well, she is a woman. Women are only capable of basic things, on account of them being inherently stupid. You know.

49 percent of people want the new Xbox One.

That poll showed 86% to 14% (second link) on just the gamerrant site, alone.

That's significant.
