It doesn't matter. Unless it sells enough copies to cover the cost of developing the thing, the lack of sales are still a problem.
The thing is I can't see it increasing in sales if the Wii U gets a price cut. In my opinion, casual gamers don't want (or even know it exists) and hardcore/mainstream gamers are sick of Nintendo.
They will sell well because of the lack of content on the Wii U. Will it get more consoles sold? Maybe but not enough in my opinion. People who buy Smash and Mario Kart probably already have a Wii U.
Bayonetta 2? The original one (according the vgchartz) sold a combined 2 million copies.....I cannot see the sequel even coming close it. Nintendo did well helping the developer out (any 3rd party exclusive) but it's hardly a system seller. In the end, if Nintendo had a killer app (like Gears of War for ex.), Bayonetta would be the icing on the cake.

MS is going to sell non-Kinect Xbox One starting in June at $399.

As well, you don't need Xbox Live to use Netflix, HBO Go and Hulu.

Iwata says they'll show games that are both nearly completed and in early development.
So, we'll almost certainly hear more about X, since the investor's meeting listed its release date as 2014 for all three regions. There's also a good chance of seeing Miyamoto's new IP, Retro's new game, Zelda, Yarn Yoshi, and FExSMT.

Thank ****ing God.
Wow. I'm really surprised they ditched the Kinect so quickly. The way they were talking it seemed like they were all in with the Kinect being an integral part of the console. Now that's gone. It'll be relegated to the back seat and used for gimmick games.
I guess it's good. A price drop will help them, though putting their less powerful system at the same price as the opponents more powerful system may not be quite enough. I think lowering the price a bit more to be below that of the PS4 woulda been a good idea. Even if it was just a little bit - being able to say their console is cheaper than the PS4 woulda been a really good marketing thing for them.
As for the streaming apps not being behind a paywall anymore, it's about ****ing time. I can't really give them much credit for removing that paywall, they should have done that years ago. It's ridiculous that they were for so long.

About time they completely pulled their heads out of their asses.
This is a smart move for Microsoft. They should have taken a cue from Sony YEARS ago and made this happen.
I still don't own a PS4 (yet) but I'm glad that I have the option to buy a PS Camera/Move as opposed to it being included in the only available bundle.
Work has been so slow for me that I just haven't been able to find the time to buy a PS4, but now that is about to change over the next 60 days. I can't wait.
