Current Gen Console Discussions (PS5, Xbox Series X, Switch (Pro?) OFFICIAL THREAD

For those of you with the Xbox youtube app, is it just me or did they remove the ability to filter search results by date?

Yep. Filter for YouTube's gone which sucks. It's the Netflix theater mode all over again.

Jesus Christ.

Well this is surprising. Space Hulk will be coming to Wii U eShop on May 2nd.

Best way I can surmise the upcoming Splatoon, it's Nintendo's Gears of War: just as messy on the battlefield but with less shotguns.

Splatoon will be this generation's The Conduit, imo.

Yep. I see the videos for the game and I find it incredibly boring to watch. No interest at all.

I don't understand how it's so unappealing. Is it because the characters look almost like kids, because it's not violent or what? You got a third person online shooter that has players traversing maps via swimming through paint lying around as a squid. If anything, that sounds like fun.

I don't know, personal preference.

It has nothing to do with violence. I find the act that I need to paint the walls to swim it's not for me. Any video

I'm just tired of Splatoon being whored out far as the marketing, exposure, and all that. Same reason people got tired of Frozen when Disney did the same with it, for instance.

If Nintendo tried to market all their other flagship franchise titles like this though, they'd prolly make a lot more sales than they have.

So Microsoft will be announcing a 1TB Xbox One at E3. And with Halo 5 having free 15 maps, I won't deny the offer is pretty damn tempting.

Yeah, Halo 5 sounds very promising. It will be interesting to see how the story plays out knowing that you will play as Locke as well. Also, will the graphics be good because this is pretty much the first major first party title for the Xbox One. Even though I enjoyed Sunset Overdrive a lot.

Is this e3 stuff or can i get a link to these halo 5 developments?

1TB

$399

We're also pleased to announce that starting today, the $349 USD price on all standard Xbox One 500GB consoles will be permanent in the United States and select regions.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF---

And with no Kinect and the change in company policy, there's not much keeping me away from this.

Xbox One seems a solid deal these days. Some good exclusives coming out this year and at a lower price than the PS4, which is what it should have been from the start. MS has done well to fix the damage they did prior to their launch.

Doubt I'll get one anytime soon, though. Still don't really like the way the console looks and how big it is. Might get the inevitable "slim" model that comes out in a couple of years.

Darksiders 2 for next gen this year!!!!!!!!!

Yeeeeeeeeees!!!!!!?

Also mention of a possible Darksiders 3.

Excellent. Your stock is rising Microsoft.

And I'd like to smugly take this moment to again tell all you shit-stains who a couple of years ago were lambasting other posters for "complaining pointlessly" to eat a dick. Almost all the business practices MS was implementing that people hated are being reversed, and that's entirely because of the vocal folks who didn't want to just lay down and get ass phucked by the industry's greed. You complacent sheeple who shrug at 6 hour games and DLC-rape are part of the problem.

Pretty weak list of games that are actually backwards compatible though.
