On that note DC dominates on TV. Always has done. Arrow's my favorite Tv show right now. SHIELD is not even a favorite of mine LOL. And DC's about to make another Massive TV hit with the Flash, after 10 years of Smallville, and already in it's 2nd year of Arrow. Whilst Marvel can't even do one good show LOL.

DC's only real flaw is being too loyal to and too dependent on Batman and Superman, who are btw, far and away more popular than any 100 Marvel characters combined. Quan isn't incorrect in saying DC needs to step their game up... they need to make a concerted effort to shine the light on their other (great) characters.

Avengers broke cinema records. Spidey 2 shattered Man of Steel.

Batman and Superman are global iconic figures.

They are more popular than any of those character combined.

Spiderman, the X-men and Avengers have only come to be household names in the last decade or so in the United States (two decades in the case of X-men due to the 90's cartoon).

Superman and Batman have been worldwide icons for 50 years. No one who didn't read comics knew who Tony Stark was 10 years ago.

Aquaman, by virtue of being considered a joke of a character by the vast majority of people who only know of him via the old Superfriends cartoon, is more well known than most Marvel characters.
