Exactly! THIS is what I'm SAYING.

His appearances show him having very mundane powers, (when you consider who he has been hanging around with).

He has extreme, um... well, you see, he has a lot of, ...yeah. Lot's of extreme "Tree Powers".

There is no reason for him to be able to fight somebody like Thanos.

I know. That's why in TI, a WEAKENED Thanos, swatted Groot away. Thanos in Avengers Assembled should have snapped Groot like a twig but we all know what happens when Bendis starts "writing".

Anyway, I don't see Colossus doing to Thanos what Groot did.

What happens is he mentions that Thanos might have done some damage to himself wielding the faux cube in the way he did.

In any event, Groot wins.
