No shaky cam in SW??? Didn't you see the Geonosis battle then? Lots of shaky cams there.
Well, I think J.J. is our best bet for a great movie. I do think we need one after the last three. At least he has shown to capture the 70s/80-s feel very well in Super8 and did a good job with ST... So yeah, I'll watch this.

I hope he understands that means no use of a shaky cam. No Star Wars film has scenes where we see things straight out of the Jason Bourne movies.
ha. come to think of it, a small clip of the world through r2d2's lens during an action scene would be interesting, you gotta admit. but i trust jj'll do a hell of a job. he did a great job star trek. and i'm not even a trekkie.
these Star trek, and lens flare jokes are already getting old.
I could really care less who the director was.
I'm more interested if finding out what meaningful story could they possibly tell.
If the story is basically the galaxy has had peace for several decades, now a new threat emerges, big deal. Anybody could come up with that.
I bet my life the word "peace" show us up in the first paragraph of the opening scroll
The supposed 2015 release date.. JJ might change it otherwise the movie will be in competition with other movies that year.

I don't mind if they delay it by a year. Just make an epic movie I say.
Oh and Justice League in 2015? I doubt that.
Shockingly revolutionary. They'll be featuring gun toting rebel Princess characters next..! Or Queens who feature as pivotal main characters in rebellion..!!
FFS.
I dont like the way this announcement:
(A) Treats fans like they must have imagined Leia, Padme, Padme's maidens/bodyguards, Mon Mothma, The female pilots in Naboo etc
(B) Sounds like a cynical political cash in/audience grab
(C) Is reported without any other detail about the character as if the gender alone was meant to be meaningful and impactful to SW fans.
(D) Insults the general readership by thinking that they would find this somehow relevant and newsworthy in 2013.
(E) 'Female character for female character's sake' pre-merit tokenism is as cliched as insulting as a token racial appearance.
You'd think that AVP was a good film, if this was all that was needed to impress.
