It kinda ruins the good guys use green and blue tradition though.

Yeah, but the Jedi tradition is gone anyway. And it would strengthen that tradition in a way: Luke using his father's sabre as a warning.

It's fine, the fall only did some minor blemishes, nothing that won't buff out.

*sigh* he could easily just build another one.

why would he waste precious little time climbing down a reactor shaft to get an old and easily replacable trinket?

And by that time Luke would be dead too with the Death Star exploding.

To teach his future students with his dad's lightsabre?

there had better be some real news soon because these discussions are getting ridiculous.

Disney Characters will be mentioned next.

Master Mickey and Master Donald will preside in the New Jedi Order.

so thankfully production will not be veiled in secrecy as per typical jj. http://www.slashfilm.com/star-wars-episode-vii-wont-be-particularly-secret-suggests-lucasfilm-president-kathleen-kennedy/

“What will he bring to the franchise? Everything that was missing from the last three. That’s what he did to Star Trek, really – invigorate it with a little bit of Star Wars magic. He switched it from science-fiction to science-fantasy. And I think if anyone can pull [Star Wars] out of the mire, it’s J.J. He’ll bring the fun back. Lucas seemed to misread what made the first ones great, and concentrate on things that people didn’t really care about, or wilfully ignore the things that people cared about. Whereas J.J. will embrace them all. Read more at http://www.comicbookmovie.com/news/?a=79270#sIr1XKwEqYm7dBbA.99

Pegg is a HUGE PT hater. Beyond what I consider reasonable.

I consider it perfectly reasonable.

I am excited about JJ Abrams contribution though.

I guess I'm generally excited for it to be in the hands of Disney, they do generally a good job with franchises, and even if there may be some bad movies, I'm sure there'll be very good ones too.
