I've always compared him to Lars Von Trier, who also does depressingly-tragic original works. Dogville was a masterpiece.
I guess I can see that comparison since he is also a very skilled director, but all I've seen by him is Antichrist and it disturbed me to the core (#Dafoeisgod). It was beautifully done, but I'm afraid to see anymore of his movies.

I'll pass on this one. Not because I'm an atheist, but because I know how the movie ends, thank you very much.
Do you listen to a song only for the ending? Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if by the technical definition Aronofsky is actually an atheist. But I would call him a mystic. (The Fountain being his main mystical expression.) This won't be your everyday Bible story.

Judeo-Christian values. 😐 lol
My opinion on the flood, and there was one, is that many large religions like Greek Mythology speak of man overthrowing a race of giants before a great flood sinks their cities beneath the oceans.
These stories are very concordant to the Neanderthals and the end of the Ice Age that literally drowned a portion of Europe, isolating Britain - Neanderthals being giant supermen, many of the then culturally-dominant European races today still carry Neanderthal DnA, whereas other non-European and Indonesian descended ethnic cultures simply do not.

Pi. Requiem for a Dream
Loved those movies, but I loved the true documentary film A Beautiful Mind more - the schizophrenic in Pi didn't overcome his hallucinations without lobotomizing himself, or being ECT'd out of his sanity like Harry's mom in RfAD (although he was close) - he ignored his daytime hallucinations; and it was a true story.
Plus I can relate to the medication he was on. Geodon has similar effects - you lose your ability to feel emotion - on top of reduced mental alertness, ability to stay awake, near narcolepsy, and high cholesterol and blood sugar. Anti-psychotics are never good, the best anti-psychotic is someone in your life. Pi and RfAD display people who have no one, going through anxiety. 🙁

Cherubim, Leech. Those are the ones with the multiple sets of eyes.
At least, I'm pretty sure.
I've honestly never seen angels/Cherubs depicted with more than 2 eyes.
Even a Google image search shows the standard images of them.
And why haven't 8 eyed angels been used in movies before...they would've made a creepy image for Constantine or Legion.
This doesn't seem so far off now. Comes out in March...

I'll probably skip it simply because the story of Noah's Ark is boring (and full of plot holes, such as how did they account for all species on Earth, what did they feed them, who shoveled the shit, why did God kill all of the children, etc.). They get on the boat. They stay on it for 40 days. Then they get off. Where's the excitement?
It really depends if they are including the nephilim (children of angels and woman) and the angels who produce the nephilim. They were the main villains within the story of Noah. Also, if they are going to include Noah preaching about the incoming flood.
As for the animals that is not a plot hole, they were brought to Noah. The earth was not fully populated at that time in history. Animals were not scatter throughout the planet.
