Noah (Darren Aronofsky)

There is really a lot of things that can be done with this movie that might not be done.

Will they show a representation of how the Sky look before the flood?

How the earth was connected by land and there was no oceans as large as we have now?

How the atmosphere changed once the flood occurred?

How the angels who came down and had relations with women and their offspring took over the earth and ruled it?

Perhaps how the angels tried to save their children?

There so much to the story that could be done. If done right the movie can be really exciting and perhaps quite scary.

Or how Noah and his family were able to repopulate the Earth without any of the genetic mutations inbreeding brings.

Just one of God's many miracles.

When I was a child, that - well, a variant of that - question was what I first asked. "So, Noah's children married each other and ... ?".

It put the Quran and Bible into a proper context for me. Any hole's a goal, if you're stuck on a ship for long enough ✅ ...

If they changed the perspective of the story, made God out to be the big villain, Noah just a hapless fool in thrall to the mighty genocidal maniac and the angels just simply horny little devils exploiting a good opportunity. It'd be much more of a fun - and rational - story.

The only problem is that there would be no sympathetic character in the film at all...

I wouldn't expect the flood story to make sense. Just some meditative treatment of the ideas and character studies. That's what Aronofsky does.

Well, they were closer to perfection and had God's blessing. Any way that has been happening throughout history without all the genetic mutations.

^ Ha, that's kind of cool. Guess it's some CG creature, since they've probably done the majority (if not all) of the filming. I bet Nick Nolte's not very expensive these days, haha..

Was actually impressed in the end. This will make a tonne of money.

(Posting from Brazil, bitches!)

I guess I'm not surprised by some controversy over this film. I personally cannot wait to see it. Poster in Brazil...

Edit:
Shit, didn't work.. lol, have to try again when I get back to the States.

Surely as long as Paramount/Aronofsky got permission from the original author to adapt the story, then no problem ... eh ... hang on 😉

The ark would have to be the size of Detroit.

Sounds like a lame excuse to me

I'm still pretty excited about this. And it seems to be getting some pretty high praise. These quotes sound very promising...

"Inventive, ambitious, brutal and beautiful: a potent mythological epic. But also willfully challenging, as likely to infuriate as inspire."

- Dan Jolin
Empire Magazine

^ pretty much exactly what I've come to expect from Aronofsky.

"Outrageously ambitious and courageously complicated."

- Devin Faraci
Badass Digest

"It is never less than fascinating - and sometimes dazzling - in its ambitions."

- Scott Foundas

The movie has already been in several Islamic countries

something about Noah is a prophet in the Koran and can't have any images of those.
