Thanos vs Thor (angry)

Started by jaxthejester27 pages

Thanos is packing his A game these days.

I just finished Infinity #6 myself, and it was pretty obvious that Thanos is currently being written well above Thor's power level (or any other Avenger's power level for that matter).

Hulk and Thor were both just time out of his day. No real threat posed.

This just cemented Thanos as a true Bridge Class villain for me.

He is more powerful than Thor or Surfer, but less powerful than Odin or Galactus.
Thanos lives and plays right in that power gap.
Thor would need to have the OF again to stand up to the Cosmic Titan.

Because for the time being, only his baby boy Thane has the raw power needed to put daddy in his place. 😎

Yea Thor got straight up disrespected by Thanos. Literally no-sold his most powerful conventional attacks while trolling him and proceeded to easily beat him down. He also blasted him off panel for a long time which could have been a one-shot.

Thanos stomps hard.

Uh, no he didn't. He even said "Do it again" after the initial lightning blast...

And what is that suppose to prove? Do you even know what the word goading means? Here is a hint, it's not the same as taunting. After that he asked if that's all he had. He is clearly goading him to come down from his perch.

Pretty much, bro.

Ad Hulk got it even worse.

But yeh... Thanos busted out the one true Pimp Hand.

(Which I don't mind, I just wish we could have had more of a respect showing for Thor and Hulk. They done got jobbed. In the worst way.)

Thanos disrespected everyone.

My man Bolt got disrespected the worst. I am still in shock he was able to cover his mouth with his pimp hand!

I think this showing with Thanos and Thor proves how much Blood and Thunder Thor is over an average, pissed Thor.

Everyone knew that already. Thing is he had the power gem as well when he took on Thanos which is a huge plot device. Thanos still prevailed.

From Thanos? Hulk took his punch and jumped straight back to the fight. Would've been interesting to get an extended Hulk vs Thanos battle but it's something he seems to avoid if he can.

Thanos' lackeys were pretty impressive though, they essentially took down Hulk, Hyperion and Cap between the two of them, though the "star to the chest" seemed a lil too plot device-y for my tastes. A fight between Thanos and 3 of the most powerful beings on Earth plus Binary/Cap Marvel could've been way more epic than what was served up.

The lackeys is what I meant. More of a referral to the poor treatment that Hulk received overall.
They jobbed the living hell out of him. Most disappointing.

True.

Thanos is just in a Class of his own right now.
It's a shame that Waid couldn't have turned back on the Green Scar persona prior to this conclusion.
The added power was sorely needed, and the owning that current Hulk received was just... unfortunate.

On a side-note: Cool Signature Banner! 😄

I think they had to do this. It would be too much if Thanos would be able to take down Hulk, Thor and Hyperion, he had his hands full with Thor, who tanked everything Thanos threw at him just fine. All 3 would have beaten him, that's rather obvious.

Thanos was mocking Thor. This is why no one takes you seriously at all. The dialogue made it clear had thane not intervened the avengers would have lost. 🙂

Don't think they jobbed him at all. Look at what slowed him down...a star, a super nova star. Not as bad as you are trying to make it. I didn't see a single person jobbed in that fight.

Thor would get his hammer shoved up his ass

Lol really? Are you even reading the same comic?

Yeah, that fight pretty much showed that Thanos far above Thor.

He faced two lackeys that owned the hell out of him.
He didn't even get a single good hit off.

I don't see how I could make it out better.
At the end of the day, Marvel's #1 brick was put in the fetal position and then turned back into Banner.

Grade A PWN.

At least Black Blot was allowed to bloody Thanos' lip a bit.

Clearly Hickman struggled to match the expectations of the fans, a lot of people predicted what was going to happen before the last issue came out and imo the disappointing final issue dragged the whole event down as a result.

I've seen far worse jobbing than what occurred here, Hulk shrugged off Thanos' punch who iirc one shotted Binary, and supported the weight of a star. Sending him in as some sort of sacrificial lamb instead of attacking all at once or without some sort of strategy didn't make sense to me though considering how Steve was basically the mastermind behind the fall of the Builders. Tbf all of the Avengers were pretty useless in this issue except Lord Rogers.

😆 No kidding. Thanos didn't even break a sweat.

I think dude was reading what some of us wish had happened, rather than what actually did happen.
