Thanos was mocking Thor. This is why no one takes you seriously at all. The dialogue made it clear had thane not intervened the avengers would have lost. 🙂
A Honest Question, do you think there is someone on this forum taking you seriously? Really? 😆
That's why his Generals had to fight them, because he could have won himself, yeah sure ^^.

He didn't even get a single good hit off.I don't see how I could make it out better.
At the end of the day, Marvel's #1 brick was put in the fetal position and then turned back into Banner.Grade A PWN.
At least Black Blot was allowed to bloody Thanos' lip a bit.
Thanos punched him, he blitz the other crew from a distance, they dodged and hit him with the weight of a star. What's jobbing about that? What were you expecting Hulk to do against two elites (especially Proxima) and a high trans/skyfather? If anything, what you should have gotten from that scene is, Hulk withstood that spear better than anyone who was hit by it. He withstood the pressure of an entire star on top of him and looking at the scene before the spear was yanked out of him, he was standing up.
Like I've stated, no one there was wanked. Everything was written like it was supposed to be: Thanos is a freaking beast.

Sending him in as some sort of sacrificial lamb instead of attacking all at once or at least in some of coordinated strategy didn't make sense to me though. Tbf all of the Avengers were pretty useless in this issue except Lord Rogers.
I like you. Way to tell it plain and straight.
Yes, there has been worse. Loeb straight up deleted Hulk so that he could play with a Red version. This wasn't in that category of idiocy.
But it was, none the less, an immense disappointment.
But as you said, most of us knew Thane would save the day with the power of life and death.
I just wish Hulk could have at least landed a few good punches before he sucked dirt and fell over.
I'm not a hard fan to please... but that battle was about as fun to read as sucking on salt free crackers.
Silver Age Superman wore his Thanos skin today.

Nice, dodging the question. Thanos needed the help, that's obvious. Never seen you debating, only ignoring, misinterpreting, lowballing and lying^^. But keep on, because for sure no one takes you seriously, your posts are more like a joke 😉.

Considering your signature line, what I wanted to see should be clear bud.
I read the issue, and I understand what occurred.
I simply find it a poor choice to go that direction.
That fight could have been written a dozen ways, with Thanos still showing how amazing he is, AND with Hulk and Thor not looking like a pair of B-Class Jobbers.
Hulk did dive in. And never landed a punch.
His blitz was more of a fizzle.
Holding the "hands and knees puking" pose for a few panels is not impressive, regardless of how much weight is put on him.
Standing up and thunder-clapping the crap out of those two... that would have been impressive.
What we saw jobbing. Justifiable by power set does not equate to smart writing.
The first thing I said when I put this issue down is... I want my money back.
Hulk "surviving" being handled like a helpless pup doesn't change the fact that he received a sad ass-whooping.
The fact that Elites did it does not reduce the lameness of it.
Hulk should have gotten back up. Snarled at the two Elites. And then slapped the piss out of one of them.
THAT would make me come back for more.
THAT is surviving two Elites and overpowering a Star.
And that is the ball that was dropped in that issue (among others).

I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I enjoyed the book and think everything was written the way it should have.
Does anyone have scans of Thanos withstanding attacks from Heralds like he did in infinity?

I agree, but I wouldn't say Hulk shrugged off the blow. He recovered, but he didn't shrug it off.

You are alluding to a much larger problem with Marvel Comics. They can't do a decent fight scene to save their asses. What the fool brass does not seem to understand is that the fans want to see super powered characters using their super powers creatively to make bad ass fight scenes. Great fight scenes with great artwork can overcome lame ass stories, but the reverse is not nearly as true. A great storyline can be sunk with poor fight scenes and poor artwork and this happens more often than not at Marvel. The last story line to combine a great story and great fight scenes / artwork was Annihilation.

I actually don't think you're in a position to say any of this with any degree of certainty. Rabid forum junkies that obsess over power levels aren't their primary demographic. The most vocal, perhaps, but hardly the largest.
I'm not saying I wouldn't like to see this. Many of us would. But the best stories I know are that way almost exclusively because of factors outside the fight scenes.

And what is that suppose to prove? Do you even know what the word goading means? Here is a hint, it's not the same as taunting. After that he asked if that's all he had. He is clearly goading him to come down from his perch.
Except, he wasnt "clearly goading him to come down for his perch." He was straight up taunting Thor.
