How were they on earth-two in IC 5 then? They were breaking and rebuilding reality with their every hit

Also that was a magical moon (Shadow thief's powers come from Neron after Underworld Unleashed) travelling at a considerable velocity. That wasn't much of a low showing from a writer who accepted that he nerfed superman in that comic.

The dark moon and neutron star feat are similar types of feats. That's why they interest me.

Lemme see that black hole feat though. That one I actually might have a counter for believe it or not. That nicca Nova might surprise you. PM me when you can.

It takes both though, you can punch apart all the astroids you want, but if you can't beat anyone worth their salt, it's useless.

In OWAW, Superman didn't go around punching inanimate objects. He was leveling waves of guys that other herald-levelers couldn't even scratch, exponentially more powerful than his normal every day feats of being able to move or smash moons and cosmic stuff like that.

Wow. I agree that probes are being underestimated, when people say everyone on the team can solo, but come on... This combined team is definitely taking a single probe down. Is anyone actually arguing that team loses?

The better feat would be black hole palming, the dark moon feat was from a guy who admitted he was nerfing superman in order to fit him in his team stories. Also I just sent you a PM.

They'll work, but they can possibly win too, I think. Single probes were doing ridiculous stuff though, one ran through Martian Manhunter, Aquaman, Flash, Wonder Woman in full battle gear, Green Lantern Kyle and Plastic Man in a few panels/splashpages, and while it could debated this team is even more powerful than that...they didn't harm it, dent it, or even slow it down. It pretty much one shot each of them and left them floating unconscious in space. Diana in full gear just got eyebeamed nearly to death.

But the purpose of this thread teetered off course to be more about Superman as a benchmark as time passed, because in this story when Superman went 'all out', without any outside upgrade, he was a hundred times more effective than a dozen herald levelers and people don't like it.

Point: while the Probes do have some feats indicative of this team being able to beat one, they also have individual feats that are WELL beyond this team's capability. Therefore, the argument(s) for and against the Probes are perfectly warranted, imo.

Definitely not saying anyone on this team can solo a probe with ease, but that showing with the Daxamites has to be taken with a grain of salt. We all know how it is in comics with the "fodder principle" and all that jazz. It was a good feat, but no name Daxamites were a casualty of that principle and do not hold the same weight of heralds with long standing histories. One hundred thousand no name lanterns would have fallen to that same probe. I don't even want to get into the other factors. The probes had some really high showings, but also had their "well that was easier than I thought" moments too.
