yes new is better. old is abysmal.

...and in 10 years i hope they do it over again because given the rate of inflation and increasing ticket costs, films will have a far higher average box office gross...which of course will make them better by default. /derp

More action and a clear departure in old stale Star Treks to draw more people in. Worked. Reboot>>>originals.

I'm seeing tonight. Cannot wait.!

Was going to say who the hell is Gabriel after reading Dudumon review

looked it up and its Quinto's character from Heroes.......i never watched the show personally.

:edit: anyone who hasnt seen the film yet, GTFO. seriously. just leave for your own good.

I think by now it's pretty bloody obvious WHAT THE BIG REVEAL IS.

Spoiler tags is jack for this movie by now.

Should make some spoilers up, For those who have yet to see it.

That's a false myth that should no longer be perpetuating itself in any type of Trekkie circles especially considering commentary from Nemoy and Meyer that put that rumor to bed.

You're either trolling or being something else that I cannot say (lol). I assume you're just trolling for the lulz.

Considering the last time I saw Wraith was back in 1983...I did always assume it was fake...considering that Montaban was 62 yrs old & was never considered an "action" star.

All the old Trek movies were on sale since the release of this. So I went out and bought Star Treks 2-4(my favorties of the Originals). I love those movies.

Think I will add First Contact to my collection, just to see Worf kick some Borg ass again.

They wern't all great movies but when they were good, they were really good.

And the wider audience used to love those original films as well, not just the hardcore fans. They just wern't released on the kind of large scale with all the buzz and marketing these new ones are.

It amazes me how many people like to bash the originals and yet, have shown clear evidence that they didn't even watch them.

Watch JJ Abrams on the daily show talking about how much he loves Star Trek. The director of the movie is actually a star trek fan now, and had that in mind when he made this movie.

but I suppose, bitterness is bitter. Also, baiting is against the rules.

I think all movie threads should be avoided by people that do not want to read spoilers. I say this every damn time, too. If you go into a movie thread for a movie that just came out and see recent discussion, EXPECT SPOILERS. However, we should try our best not to spoil movies for others.

Impediment has no choice but to have the movies spoiled because he has to moderate the movie forums. So...he's kind of screwed.

FYI it's "Wrath" not "Wraith". Full Movie Title: "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan". And you do not have to be an action star to workout. Working out is for everyone! 😄

I watched them and was bored the entire time. You're a Trekkie but I'm a reboot fan. You prefer boredom and dialogue I prefer different aspects in a sci fi movie.

I am allowed to state my opinion. Loved the new Trek and actually cited an article demonstrating the departure from the original formula.

Dont read my posts. Please.

I agree people should avoid these threads but still won't name any character directly though I kinda already knew due to someone not being clever enough about their pre spoiler sentence.

Your response was a shot at me. I'm simply sharing my opinion ad enjoying the new Star Trek.

Love the reboots and didn't care for boring originals. Leave it at that.

And still you do it. God, you're petty. We all know you only post to be contrary and get a rise out of people. ie, you troll. But sure, reply to this and have the last word, and continue to hate as always.

Saw this movie last night and loved it, as far as the older star treks movies being boreing. I have found that most that find theses movies boreing are not star trek fans (not to be confused with a trekkie there is a difference.) They tend but not always but tend to be over obsessed with massive expensive special effects and the movies need to come to them. The special effects in the old star trek movies were good for their time but not for now yet they will still great movies.
