what a fat ass

🙁

Hey, that character has been passed down the Nemebro line for generations!

Anyone else here a manly man that's part of the Company of Champions?

I have to fight the Belfry Gargoyles now. Not sure if I'll be able to beat them from what I saw on Youtube. I'm also not too sure that I want to go online to fish for help or not.

Spoiler:
The Ruin Sentinels are ****ing cockmasters.

Truly the life of a Champion is an arduous one.

I also get the distinct impression that this game would be a lot easier with a shield.

That fight is a motherf*cker. Velstadt, the Lost Sinner, the Ruin Sentinels, the Pursuer, and anything that moves too quickly is a pain in the dick.

With the gargoyles, it's a numbers issue. There's quite a few and they can be difficult to separate.

Anyone wanting an organic play-through without the use of anyone else's strategy shouldn't read.

Spoiler:
The Ruin Sentinels actually turned out to be a breeze when I used a gold pine resin on my caestus. I killed the shit out of the first one, waited for the second to jump onto the balcony, then I killed the shit out of it, then waited for the third one, and killed the shit out of it.

The Pursuer is a boss that at first glance seems really strong but has a glaring weakness. Namely, that a few of its attacks can be parried, which I discovered. Whether you use the ballista or not, discovering that its charge attack (By far its most common move) can be parried makes the fight a breeze.

I usually fight them all at once. I haven't played NG+ or Ascetic'd the area yet so I never got the chance to use such a tactic. It worked out decently anyway. I ended up f*cking them.

As a caster, the Pursuer can be horrendously difficult simply because he closes the gap so quickly. Parrying him is useful, though. I've heard it opens up time to run to a ballista or whack at him a bunch.

I've heard fighting the Pursuer with phantoms is just massively easy. Although, I imagine most of the boss fights in the game become cakewalks with assistance.

Spoiler:
I'm dual-wielding Caestus' without a shirt and am a Champion, so fighting more than one at once is basically suicide for me.

Yeah he's really fast and strong, and initially gave me trouble simply because I did so little damage to him, but when I discovered he could be parried, everything turned out all right.

Just fought the Belfry Gargoyles. Ironically, the fight is actually much easier if all six of the gargoyles are there, since they get in each other's way and allow you to pick at them. The fight isn't hard. Just long.

Bored etc so here is my character.....313

Yeah, I went Champion as well. It's difficult, although I made a pretty tough-as-nails Cleric build that throws lightning rods and bashes everything's head in via melee.

I finished up the Belfry fight fairly quickly. See, that's how I felt about the Sentinels. I took them on all at once for that reason and it worked out. Often, as opposed to attacking, the second and third would shamble behind the one trying to kill me.

Wow man your toon is a beast. At first glance i noticed that your health was kind of low, and your load capacity as well, but then I noticed that your load was below 70%. How good is that gear that your wearing? It looks like it's heavier than it apparently is.

What's everyone's favorite boss?

Not necessarily the hardest.

For me, it's probably

Spoiler:
the Lost Sinner thus far. I've always been a sucker for manly as **** duels with powerful and quick swordsmen (Or in this case, women) in the series, with my favorites in the first Dark Souls being Artorias, and in Demon's Souls being Old King Allant.

Favorite bosses?

Demon's Souls -

Spoiler:
Old King Allant

Dark Souls -
Spoiler:
Gwyn

Dark Souls II -
Spoiler:
Velstadt

I got one. How about favorite locations in the Souls series?

Demon's Souls - The Nexus
Dark Souls - Ash Lake
Dark Souls 2 - Drangleic Castle

Locations huh?

Demon's Souls: Boletaria and the Tower of Latria
Dark Souls: Anor Londo and the Kiln of the First Flame
Dark Souls 2: Hmmm, probably Heide's Tower of Flame so far.

Also:

Spoiler:
Just beat the Skeletons Lords. Not hard at all, I made short work of the two melee Lords, then the minions, then the mage lord... And then spawned four Bonewheel Skeletons. 😐

My reaction:

I was only going for the badass look and the armor still has a better damage soak then any mage robe....😛

Each piece is +5

Shit, I'm still leveling my weapon. I'm noticing that the Heide sword is actually very good. Not the best, but it has an innate electrical enchantment fused to it the moment that you get it. I finally turned the Flexile Sentry soul into a club that has a bleed effect on it, and it can be infused as well. I'm not using it yet until I can enhance it past the Heide sword for obvious reasons.

I beat the Gargoyles, which was far easier than I thought it would be... Must have been all of that farming I did before getting to them, I was also wondering something. If I don't use the Bonfire Ascetics at all, when I begin NG will the difficulty go up? I kind of enjoy being the most powerful thing in the game, at least for a bit.

Yes, the difficulty increases with NG+ without ascetics. Ascetics just further adds to the difficulty of an area.

If you ever feel way too badass, I'd suggest joining the CoC, maxing out the bonfire levels, and getting to NG+7 and beyond.

Using 1 ascetic equals a new game + the ascetics however only empower enemies around the certain bonfire.

To sum it up using 2 bonfire ascetics in an area equals n++.

As Renegade said difficult increases with each ng+.
