Again ghosts can be petrified in Potterverse it's not that ghosts are different. They can also fly out of reach from Lotr ghosts and its desperation to fling to a ghost army when the Potterverse has its own ghosts as well.

Fiendfyre: By killing the casting wizard. Scores of arrows will do fine. See: Massive armies.

It's a clown-move you do often, possibly almost every thread. Ignore, wait and repeat yourself while pretending you weren't previously countered. It's a dishonest tactic, imo.

There's many archers across the various armies; not just the elves. Blocking an arrow in front of you is different than blocking volleys of arrows that could be coming from many angle; while worrying about foot troops, horsemen, spears, daggers, rampaging ghost army etc.

You act like the wizards have the numbers too spare when they don't. LoTR does; they can waste a couple hundred to kill a single wizard and not have to worry.

Flight also. Dementors, petrified ghosts to boot.

Wizards can animate any statues and se them to their advantage as well. Imperio can turn Lotr against each other. Fodder does what it does best; dies.
