I just realized a huge inconsistency.Frieza was under the assumption that Goku wouldn't be able to survive in space after Namek exploded. Yet not only had Bardock flown through space, and somehow spoke in space unaided. Vegeta did the same thing when he blew up the bug planet back before his costume's color scheme changed to the blue and white.
Yup. In Dagonball Goku was also walkin' around on the moon unaided by a space suit in the manga. I mean, I know DB was more of a "for kids" kind of situation but still.
Let's not forget about this beautiful attack by Tien (read the words).

That is a question I've always had as well.Akira wrote all of the filler episodes(that aren't in the manga), as well as all of the movies. If Akira personally wrote this material, why isn't it canon?
That's a highly suspicious claim, especially when considering this statement:
"The official website also announced a comment by Akira Toriyama about the movie printed in Weekly Shônen Jump #33: the Dragon Ball series creator notes that the adaptation will mark the first time he has been so deeply involved in the production of an anime, in this case as early as the screenwriting stages. Toriyama also says that the film will retain the atmosphere of the original while adding small amounts of "modern flavor."[1] Toei Animation released a press statement on July 17, 2012: "
From the DB wiki, about the upcoming movie.

You're right. The DB Wiki only credits Akira as the original series writer, not the screenplay writer for the films. I misread it. 👆
Reading, ftw!
