Well when you look at the franchise people have used others wands to accomplish magical feats so him using the wand isn't that big of deal really then looking at how,the sheild was already broken or breaking I suppose the feat while cool isn't as impressive as you make it out to be.

No, the shield was more durable than an inferi. That's a fact. Inferi also had a fire weakness and were fleshy unlike the shield.
