This is actually a more impressive feat for the IG, as unlike Thanos, Nebula had no experience using the IG, and she still beat the same gathering of Cosmics (literally the most powerful beings in Marvel), which according to the narration of this scene, even a dullard with the IG could do the same. That is POWER.

Thanos alters his mind or soul. Thanos doesn't even have to destroy him. You seem to think more powerful means auto win despite the fat Thanos is more powerful here he can in a variety of ways.
