Lightning is pretty powerful. It's not like as if it's a simple electric current. The air within a lightning strike can heat up to 54,000 degrees Fehrenheit. To put that in perspective that is nearly 6 times hotter than the surface of the sun.

When you average them out, lightning is a low showing for Superman. Especially if you want to talk about pre-reboot, which is the guy in this thread.
So yes, it really is a low showing. Being stunned and being stunned by lightning aren't the same thing.

For example, 2 low showings vs. 20 high ones averages in favor of the high ones. And PIS showings don't coun't. It's standard that Superman is bullet proof, lightning proof (normal lightning), etc. So any showings against that is PIS.
yeah, pretty sure that lightning blast is (a) irrelevant to the thread, and (b) PIS (which i rarely invoke). i think you'd need to show lightning hurting superman pre-reboot to matter here in any way at all.
i'd still like to hear from someone on the thanos side explaining how he avoids a blitz and being wrapped in the lasso for an incapacitation loss. i'll agree thanos is more powerful than these guys, but they have the tools to win this imo. thanos's lack of speed-related feats and the lasso's inability to be broken make it difficult for me to give him the win here--i'm still at a toss-up regarding how many either side would take though.

For all the talk about it being this OP game ending plot device on the forums, there have been many times that it's been about as useful as a very durable rope. Sometimes it's just plain ineffective, it's used against her, countered etc.
If Thanos was to fight the JLA, I think it's far more likely that the lasso would be something Diana uses to helplessly pull on the Titan's arm or have it used against her by being swung around like a ragdoll then it being what beats Thanos.
Let's not kid ourselves here, if anyone's taking him down, it's going to be Superman.

You don't even have to go through her titles. Just pick up a JLA volume or two, you should come up with enough to satisfy and sway most. There are sometimes where it's been uber though, most notably I think during Waid's run, some people just act like it's the norm.
