Not had the shared universe build up Avengers had and is following a poorly received film. It simply can't do Avenger numbers, no matter how great the final product is.
Besides it's a Zack Snyder film. When was the last time he made a well received film which was a massive box office hit?
The market for this simply isnt there the way WB has gone about this. I mean whose even demanding this film right now? I know I'm not. Make a Flash movie that I love first, and that would change though.

I guess we have to agree to disagree. BVS was projected to make a billion through pre sale tickets and it didn't. Even for bad reviews and shitty legs, it still almost made 900 million. I'm not saying JL will be good, but if it is and fans get what they want, I see JL making over a billion.
BVS was Snyder's first film to get over 800 m WW. These characters are bigger than any director, so saying it's Snyder doesn't mean anything .
You've been wrong at the BO before, so what I'm saying is, it's too early to tell.
^ You're right Zack, I have been wrong before. I was expecting BvS to do wayyy better. But it's shitty legs and the lack of Universe building is exactly why JL won't make much more than 1 Bill. I'd say approx 1 Bill is the best it can do tbh.
Snyder and BvS have simply left a bad taste in people's mouths. And no ones demanding JL due to the lack of Universe building IMO.
It's the same characters as BvS again. Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg are not adding any goodwill on name alone. But it's a sequel to a poorly received movie. So Would be a miracle for it to even massively out perform BvS.
