The New TEEN TITANS! (IC)

Olli was just about done flicking through channels and exploring Matt's impressive video game collection. He was again bored. Out of his mind. He didn't know what to do about it. He figured Matt or Red X or Athena or someone had go come get the super car from outside and collect Matt's things but who knows when that would be.

All of a sudden, he got pissed. Why was he bored? Why was he acting like everything had changed when almost nothing did? Sure, he met some kids with powers. He even helped them out once. That was new. But other than that, what else changed.

He was still the same Oliver Sabel who was a secretary at Star Labs. He still lived with his parents. He still liked the same things. He still had the same friends. He was still the same guy he was before yesterday. So why did he feel so strange? So restless? Like something could happen at any moment and he would welcome it?

"ARGH! This is crazy," he said to himself as he heffed himself off the couch. He needed go get this placed cleaned before his parents got home. He packed Matt's games and equipment back into his bag but left the snacks out. He wasn't getting those back. He sat the bag on the side of the couch and went to get the snacks he himself brought out.

As he limped into the kitchen, he wasn't paying any attention to what he was doing as he sat all the snacks on the table. His mom's favorite China bowl, that she believed will a real Chinese artifact but filled it with fruit anyways, was knocked off the table when he sat all the snacks down. Not even thinking, Olli reached for the bowl just before it crashed to the floor and it froze right then and there.

He scooped it up and made sure all the fruit was in it as well. Letting out a HUGE sigh or relief, he sat it back on the table. He would've been a dead man if he broke that bowl. For some strange reason, his mom felt as if that bowl made her feel fancy for having something she only assumed was a piece of art. He supposed that was why his power activated.

That surprised him. Olli always assumed that his freezing power only activated when he thought his life was threatened. Yeah, his mom would have been devastated if her precious bowl was destroyed but his life wouldn't be in any danger. That got him thinking; maybe his power activated more so out of panic than fear. He sure would've panicked if the bowl broke. And he was panicky when he thought Matt and Red X were robbers breaking in his house. And all the other times his power activated.

So he hobbled over to the cabinet and took out his dad's favorite coffee mug. The one Olli made for him when he was a kid at summer camp about 9 or 10 years ago. He looked at it for a while, examining the way the misspelled "luv" was beginning to fade and how there was a chip on one side of the top of the mug and how the inside of it was permanently stained a faded brown front his dad using it so often.

Olli smiled as he gently rubbed the mug, remembering how he didn't even want to go to camp that summer. His dad was going away on business for a few weeks and Olli wouldn't be there to see him off. A few days later was Father's day and the camp counselors gave the kids a project to make their dads or grandads or uncle or all around father figures something nice. Olli knew his dad always started his morning drinking coffee so he made the mug. What the kids didn't know was that their father figures were going to spend the day with them. When Olli saw his dad and gave him the mug, his dad told how much he liked it and that he was going to use it azure soon as he got home. And ever since then, the mug's been the only thing his dad has drunk coffee from.

Taking a deep breath, Olli hurled the mug in the air. He flicked his hands at it as soon as it started to come back down and the thing instantly froze. Letting out another, louder sigh of relief, Olli quickly grabbed the mug and placed it back in the cabinet.

Feeling a little giddy and full of himself, Olli grabbed a plate next and sent it airborne. Flicking his hands towards it three times before it crashed and shattered into a bazillion pieces left Olli standing there with a stupid look on his face as he stared at what used to be a glass plate. "Well, damn," he simply said as he went to go get the broom and dustpan.

Athena's brow furrowed as Red X made his leave, it wasn't really a loss, she doubt Red had the muscle to help anyways. Athena made a large pile of scrape metal and woulda taken it to Tech's work shop, however there was a helicopter landing out side the tower.

Athena floated outside when she realized she hadn't seen the pyro since the mall. She shook the thought of Nova from her mind and focused on the military men climbing out of the copter. Athena's feet touched the ground and she walks closer but stays at a safe distance, as the larger man orders the others to not fire she was already reading their minds, "interesting..." she says raising a brow.

Athena met the men holding her hair down keeping it from flinging all over the place. "Hello gentlemen, did you need something?" She asked playing dumb.

As Athena came floating down the Military men lifted their weapons but did not fire as they were ordered. They were Elite. Athena would sense little fear from them if at all. They had all sorts of weaponry ranging from Sonic emitters, though as to why they had them was unclear, to Pulse Rifles, and even standard M16s. If Athena dug deeper she would see in a few soldiers heads that the Sonic emitters was one of the only things to disable Patient Zero. But none of them knew who Patient Zero was, just having basic information. Judging by the profile of Patient Zero it may be the one who trashed the Tower. If she tried to read the Generals mind there would be.. nothing. The General smiled and tapped his head. Young lady, if you think to get into my head you are out of luck. We wouldnt let kids run around taking down criminals if we couldnt stop you should you go rogue. Technology beats DNA any day. Now before either of us do something stupid how about you go back inside and get- Father.. Snow came out of the Tower, a blank expression on her face. Ashley! Where is.. He suddenly stopped and looked over her and Athena. They were dirty. A bit of oil and grim. His eyes went to the Tower. Damaged. Heavily Damaged. He suddenly turned around and started back to the helicopter. She isnt here. Back in the Chopper! Snows brow furrowed and the engine of the Helicopter sparked and the blades stopped. They had iced over. The General looked up and then turned to Ashley. Get those blades dethawed. He walked up to his Daughter. You have seen first hand what she can do. I dout you have the tech to hold her here against her will and judging by the damage of your little home you are not harboring her. But if I find that you ARE hidding her somewhere... I will bring the full force of the military upon you and your freak friends. Snow looked up to him. After all this time.. thats what you say to your daughter? No Hi? No hello?! You call me a freak, but what kind of Monster sends his own daughter away?! She was yelling now. The General lifted a hand and backhanded her. A sheet of thick ice came up to catch the blow but his hand shattered the defense and knocked her a few feet away. It was clear the General was more then human himself. You are no daughter of mine. MOVE IT! he yelled to his people as the blades of the Helicopter began to spin again.

Athena furrowed her brow at the General when he tried to come off as untouchable, however she had read his mind and although she wasn't able to unlock all his secrher an she was able to get something. The General also put way too much faith in his prized technology, Tech had been watching from the top window and ready to take control of all their tech.

Athena let the two talk but the General's actions surprised even her. Athena caught Snow with her TK before she hit the ground and flies to her side helping her get to her feet, her hand balled into a fist but she kept her anger in check, she couldn't afford to cause an incident with the military, however, the thought of ripping him and his goons to pieces crossed her mind. "You've made your point!" She spat, the air rippled around her as her anger built almost passed her control.

Matt looked from the window with his nano suit armed and read to start blowing shit up at Athena's command. However Athena did not give such a command leaving Tech to question her judgement, "What the hell Athena, no one messes with one of us and gets away." Matt growls through his teeth, such was the rules of the street. He looked around wondering where the hell Nova was, she would have done something causing the rest to back her up.

It didn't take Red X long to reach the end of the tunnel, something he was sure he could chalk up to Robin's genius and Cyborg's tech. How else would the original Titans respond so quickly to distress calls? It worked well for him right now too, since he was probably racing against time. If X had broken into the big T, he would have done it with style. Whoever barged in didn't have his ideas, but they did know what they came for. He had a hunch they couldn't, or wouldn't, wait for a chance to check out their spoils.

His first stop, and conveniently the exit to the tunnel, put him at the docks, some sparse boats moored against the bay right across from the island he now called home. This dock was less used than others dotting the coastline of Jump City, since its proximity to Titans Tower tended to put it in line without potential danger. Even after the Tower was shut down, this side never saw more business. "Great place to lie low," he mused.

X parked the bike and jumped off, landing on the roof of one of the storage bays lining the docks. Given the damage, he was sure his mark wasn't of the mind to keep low, so he didn't expect to have to look hard for signs of them. He only had one other hope: The file on the original Red X had only been on paper. If Tech hadn't updated the computer database, it meant he was still an unknown. It certainly wouldn't hurt to have that kind of advantage as X found the entrance their mysterious guest had made into the warehouse he just reached.

It had been two weeks since Olli had seen anything "fun." And he was relieved. His leg was getting better. He no longer needed the crutch but he did still have a limp. His parents also let up on his punishment saying that he was an 18 year old adult and he was able to do what he pleased as long as it caused him no harm or disrespected them. He felt a little twinge of guilt at that last part considering why his leg hurt. But that feeling quickly passed as he thought about visiting the Titans again.

He had used the com device he was given to contact Matt to let him know he was free and the tech-savvy boy was over in 20 minutes to pick him up for a so-called "boys night out." Only, it was just the two of them. Apparently, Red X had been on a solo mission for a while and he was often on his own. This was one of those times. Matt said X kept his mission to himself so he really didn't know what it was about.

This got Matt telling Olli everything that was going on with the Titans. They wound up at an arcade and while they were playing arcade games, Matt filled Olli.

Apparently, when Matt and X rushed from Olli's house the last time he saw them, it was because the Tower was attacked by some government people looking for Snow's sister. The head guy in charge was Snow's father. Apparently, Snow's sister was the one who broke in the Tower and trashed Matt's computer and she was quite crazy. Matt said he got all of this from Athena seeing as she was the one who spoke to the military guys.

Snow later came face-to-face with her dad and left shortly after that to go look for her sister. She said that she didn't know when or if she would come back. Matt said that just before Snow left, however, she and Nova had a rather heated discussion that resulted a LOT of steam. Once Snow left, Nova took a leave of absence. Everyone assumed that she went to help out Snow even though she never said that.

So now, it was just Athena, Matt and Red X at the tower. Matt said that things were relatively slow. This gave him time to rebuild his computer and update the info on the new Titans. Matt said that they even had a file for Olli now.

Apparently, Olli's powers were a form of molecular manipulation. He could stop the movement of a target's molecules to render the target motionless. Olli already knew that and told Matt that he'd been practicing with his powers. He could now activate them at will mostly. He just had an issue with keeping them activated.

This was when Matt asked if Olli wanted to hang at the Tower because he was tired of having to find things to do by himself with Athena meditating all the time and Red X off on his own adventure. He also said that he had also upgraded the defense systems so the Tower would be less susceptible to invasion along with installing a program that would allow the Tower to make self repairs. Olli understood nothing Matt was saying about this as tech talk made his head hurt but he took up the offer to go to the Tower.

As they made their way back to Matt's super car, Olli thought that nothing really changed in two weeks with the exception of Snow's and Nova's absences. And for this, he was relived because he hadn't really missed much. But, this also made him think that maybe trouble was just around the corner.

Athena sat alone in the tower, her team was in shambles, Red-X was constantly going on shady solo mission, and she questioned her own resolve. Was resurrecting the Titans a wise idea or was she just chasing a childish dream of being a super hero. The teen sighed in frustration, she had been meditating two days straight searching for answers but they didn't come. She was doing this on her own, she had no mentor nor training other then learning hard lessons on the streets and that alone seemed to not be enough.

With another sigh the teen leader rose from her meditation and floated to the fridge and levitated an apple out before sinking her teeth into the juicy red fruit with a crunch. She thought back to the old Titans and wondered how Robin kept everyone together despite their differences, what she wouldn't do to just ask for some advise right now.

As the two boys jumped into the new "T" mobile Matt reached into the back seat and grabbed what seemed to be a scanner gun. "It's a bit late but meh, should help that limp of yours," he says with a shrug and tosses it to Olli. "Just aim it to where your injured and sciencey waves will shoot out magically hyper activating your own healing regen and blah blah boring science stuff. It's still in beta so try not to over use it but it works see," he explains then showed a scar on his forearm about an inch long. "Had to test it some how and to my luck there's no signs of skin cancer! Still don't over use it..."

Matt left out most of the science explanation for Olli's sake and being honest with himself, he sometimes had no clue how some of his inventions worked. He figured his powers made most of his devices work and usually just went with it, throwing caution to the wind for the sake of science!

-------Downtown Jump City------

The city was busy with the usual hustle and bustle of people trying to survive in the concrete jungle of high buildings and hard asphalt streets. The city was ruthless, especially to lone foreigners, they where usually chewed up and spat out. However today would be a bad day for the wicked and the just.

The skies darked as lightning crackles down from the sky hits a light post causing it to fall on a parked car before erupting in a ball of flames. People began to panic and run for safety, however, the ground under them begun to quake causing people to crash into each other and onto the ground. Hurricane winds mixed with rain began to blow and just as every thing seemed to be at it's worse, hands of earth begun to shoot out of the ground like zombies escaping the earth. Creatures made of earth arose and gather already the size of an army, they slowly advance on unlucky civilians seemingly surrounding a group as other earth creatures begin to destroy whatever they could.

-------Titan's Tower-------

Athena sat on the couch finally taking a break from her meditation, she felt herself relaxing as stress began to melt away and she begins to drift off but to her luck the alarm begins to scream causing Athena to jump to her feet along with the couch, she paid no mind to the over turned couch and ran to the computer then turned the alarm off, she saw what was happening on the monitor and tried to make sense of what was happening. "What in the..." She says looking at all that was going on in the city. She quickly grabbed her com and called out to anyone listening, "Level 5 alert: location downtown Jump City, everyone get there now and protect the citizens!"

She was already flying toward the city and it seemed the dark clouds were only over it, this was defiantly an attack on the city and it was her duty to put a end to this chaos and for now, it was all she needed to know.

It had been a long year for Clive. He had not long ago taken on a path of heroism, and as one might expect, the toll of his new life was of cumbersome enormity. He lost all he knew, and gained only little experience to deal with it. After what felt like countless trying days, his journey finally lead him here; Jump City.

There he sat, upon a small outcrop on the shore of an island just yards from the tower, taking this moment to reflect recent events. He knew not why he was here, or what he was looking for, just that he hoped to find SOMETHING. Right now, none of that really mattered to him. This was the longest moment of peace he had since he could remember, and he was going make what he could of it.

As he comfortably laid back and gazed over the horizon at the giant 'T' and the stars beyond it, he lost all thought completely. His mind, body, soul, even the air and tides that surrounded him, all fell silently still. This was perfect. He felt renewed; tired no longer. His eyes slowly, effortlessly fell shut, and he would simply allow himself this time to recover until wake.

This moment of serenity was short-lived, as a dramatic shift in the air and unnatural, seemingly apocalyptic cloud cover formed. The tides violently picked up, and lightning began shooting down angrily upon the Earth, but Clive was not simply phased by this. He stood up readily at the first sign of impending disaster.

Despite the obvious severity of the situation, he could not help but smirk. He was somewhat delighted to have found a reason to be here. He caught sight of someone flying out of the 'T', and although he could not clearly make out this figure in time, he knew they could probably use some help.

He couldn't fly himself, but he would pursue nonetheless. He shut his eyes in concentration, and a luminous, flame-like, blue-shaded aura began to form around his hands and feet that flowed halfway up to his elbows and knees. He slowly lifted his eyes open once more as he began to levitate a few inches off the ground. He then abruptly took of in the direction of the disturbance, gliding over the water after the flying one.

He had no idea who, or what, awaited him, but he was ready to confront it all the same.

Olli smiled at Matt's terminology and caught the scanner, silently relieved that the tech-wiz spared him all the tech talk. He started to lifted his pants leg and grimaced at the ugly purple and blue blotch that ran from just under his knee to just before his ankle.

"Just aim and shoot," he asked aloud. However, he wasn't looking for an answer. Just some kind of assurance that his leg wouldn't shrivel up from all the "sciencey waves." He took a quiet breath and pulled the trigger.

He felt nothing. No sciencey waves. No tingling feeling. No shriveling. And he was thrilled. He looked a little closer and could swear he saw the bruise getting a little lighter around the edges. He would have to test his leg once they got to the Tower.

Creatures made of earth arose and gather already the size of an army, they slowly advance on unlucky civilians seemingly surrounding a group as other earth creatures begin to destroy whatever they could.

When the ground began quaking, Olli thought it was a result from the gadget. "MATT! Why didn't you tell me about the rumbling?! What'd you do to me?!"

However, he looked out the window and saw people running and being tossed to the ground and quickly came to the conclusion that he wasn't experiencing a strange side effect. "Oh. Sorry, dude. What the hell is going on? End of the world?" He pressed his face up against the window to see through the sheeting rain and looked to the sky.

"That's a freaky looking storm cloud. And I'm guessing that it isn't normal seeing as it came out of nowhere." When he saw the rock creatures pop up out of the ground, his eyes grew to the size of saucers. "And I know that's DEFINITELY not normal," he exclaimed pointing to one of the creatures.

Somehow, Olli knew something like this was going to happen. Well, maybe not this. But he knew SOMETHING was just lurking around the corner. "I'm guessing we're gonna have to do something, huh?"

The catastrophe was splashing across every local and county news channel, warnings of deadly weather and walking rock-men repeating frantically with reporters saying that footage was still in the process of being acquired. News helicopters couldn't, wouldn't, fly into the powerful winds, and no one was willing to risk suicide on the ground. Finally clips started coming through' snapshots, taken between rolling footage as clearly as possible before resources were lost. It was devastating. It was horrible.

A twenty-five panel screen froze on various snapshots, creating a morbid mosaic of the destruction befalling Jump City. A figure watched, lounging rather casually in a chair, in the darkened room, holding a glass in one hand and tapping the chair's arm idly.

"Remember," said the figure on the chair, perhaps speaking to some transmission device nearby, "We're not going to destroy them just yet. It's much too soon."

Christian Mann had just left out of the movies with a group of friends. He was not happy. The movie sucked in a extremely cheesy way and he wasted ten dollars on it. That was money he could have used for food. And he was hungry. The group he was with decided to stop by a pizza parlor. Before long, Christian had to head home as he had to work in the morning. He bid farewell to his group of friends and headed out the door.

Not long after he got outside did all hell break loose. The sky darkened, buckets of rain fell from the sky, lightning flashed, the ground shook, and rock beasts erupted all around him. There was widespread panic and fear all over the place and he felt it all. It was like his brain was going to explode from his skull. He gripped his head and fell to the ground as if someone knocked him over.

This hadn't happened to him since he had first discovered his powers of empathy almost a year ago. He was knocked unconscious by the wave of emotion he had first felt then. Now, with all of the self-training and conditioning, he was merely knocked over. One of Christian's tricks to temper the onslaught of emotions was to think of something peaceful. A memory that calmed him.

That memory was always he and his older brother, Gregory, going camping for the first time when Christian was 12 and Gregory was 20. That was the first of many trips but it was the best because the place they set up camp was so quiet and at peace. Christian remembered that he didn't even want to leave. Gregory taught him how to fish, start a fire, pitch a tent, and how to protect their food from bears. They did nothing but talk and laugh that whole trip.

He felt the pressure lessen in his head and that mean that he had to actually do the rest. He got up and looked around. The scene was chaotic. People were running and falling because of the rumbling earth and cascading winds and they were being attacked by the rock creatures.

Christian was relatively use to this type of thing as he was living in the city when the Teen Titans were a superhero team. But they were gone. At least, they were until a new group appeared on the news. Christian couldn't help but think that this was happening in response to them showing up. So he had a feeling that they would soon. Until then, he would try his best to help how he could.

He stumbled over to a woman who had fallen. He could feel pain emanating from her and immediately saw that she was bleeding from a gash on her head. He ripped a piece of his shirt and placed it over her injury. He then got a blank stare and started to imagine a tranquil scene of a deer drinking from a river. Birds were chirping off in the distance and there was a gentle breeze that faintly rustled the grass around the deer. Christian put as much tranquility and calmness in this image and then looked the woman in her eyes, transferring the image from his mind to hers. A look of calm immediately spread across the woman's face and she smiled at Christian.

He helped her up and she ran off. As he looked after her, he saw that she began to help another who looked injured. He smiled and raced the other way. He had to head back to the pizza parlor to help his friends. He hoped they were okay. He hadn't known that one of the hi-tech-looking cars he ran past was housing a Titan. However, he did feel something strange coming from the car. Curiosity and a feeling of determination. He raced towards his friends.

Matt was in disbelief. All of a sudden the weather turned ugly and the ground begin to shake violently, and if that wasn't bad enough, rock golem were rising from the ground. In front of them was a group of rock elementals chasing after some unlucky citizens, Matt pushed a button on the stirring wheel and a targeting system came up on the windshield and a set of canons came up on either sides of the car as well. Matt pressed the button again and blue balls of energy shot out of the cannons making the golems to explode in to rubble.

The titan swerved the T car to the right and hoped the sudden turn didn't cause Olli to bash his head in to the window. He looked to his friend for a a moment as if trying to decide on something. "Stay here, this looks really bad and you're not properly trained to handle this kinda thing" he says trying to convince Olli. He then struggled against the wind to open the door and once outside he was pelted with heavy rain and wind forcing him against the car. Matt shielded his face with his arm as the nano tech clawed over his body to create a suit and an orange visor was dropped over his eyes, he was able to stand straight and see better despite the rain and wind. "Note to self, active suit before getting out of the car," he chimed to himself.

The ground finally stopped shaking but the rain and wind hadn't, Matt walked away from the car then snapped his fingers causing the car to shoot metal cables into the street and simultaneously activated a force field that shielded the car, Olli would then notice a blue button began to flicker as it was the only button glowing.

Matt got the message from Athena, "I'm already on the scene and it's craziness out here!" he replied shouting over the wind.

Tech couldn't lift off the ground so he used his rocket boots and his hand rockets to propel himself to the group he had saved. The group of five were crouched, huddled against a wall, no match for the elements. Matt came to a stop in front of them and emitted a force field that blocked the wind and rain. "Names Tech, I'll be your hero for the day. So if you'd please follow me and I'll get you all to safety," he says with a confident smile. The group stood then let Matt lead them to a clothing store, he scanned the insides and determined it was empty. "Alright everyone inside, and no looting!" he ordered hoping they'd listen.

Athena flew into the city and was hit by the hurricane winds and almost slammed into a high building, she stopped herself and shielded against the winds. The titan then mentally scanned the area for the source of this crazy weather but there was too many minds to pinpoint it, all she heard were panic and terror causing a headache and forcing her to stop. Athena cursed inwardly, she would have to search for the culprit or culprits without her telepathy.

The titan focuded on Matt as she could find his brain in a sea of people with little effort. Matt try scanning the city for any abnormal power sources, who or whatever's doing this has to be emitting masses amounts of energy and I'll continue to assist the citizens,' she mentally says via telepathy.

Athena spotted a group of earth men trying to break through a blockade built by the citizens inside a store. She swooped down and forced two of the earth men together and crushed them with powers. The other three turned their attention to Athena and shot pieces of themselves like rock bullets, the projectiles crashed against Athena's shield sending her back crashing against a building and destroying her telekinetic barrier. Athena quickly recovered and raised her hand creating another barrier just as another three shots collided with it, this time the barrier held. The titan then made a fist and aimed a punch that was followed by a telekinetic blast, the three earth men were hit by the force and were disintegrated, though more earth elementals that seemed to be drawn to her now. As they shot at her she flew higher up to evade, there were just too many of them and it seemed when one went down two more took its place making her silently wish Nova and Snow would burst in and save the day.

Victoria stood unfazed by the earthquake on top of the highest building in Jump City. She looked down upon the chaos she created without any hit of admiration, she did not enjoy doing this, however, it needed to be done.

"Remember," said the figure on the chair, perhaps speaking to some transmission device nearby, "We're not going to destroy them just yet. It's much too soon."

Victoria heard the man's words from the device in her ear "YOU DO NOT CONTROL ME!" She spat with lightning to reinforce her words. The elementest calmed herself before speaking again, "fine." As she spoke the earthquakes stopped and the lightning ceased, she then went silent and continued to watch.

(Edit: Wind has now died down but it's still raining heavily.)

While following loosely behind the obvious metahuman, Clive soon found himself thrown off course by turbulent winds, but was soon able to regain his balance as well as his sight of his sight of the scene and the one who lead him to it. Clive did not easily lose focus of anything, especially in his calm state, but that energy was soon to fail him due to the widespread panic and chaotic atmosphere. People all around him feared tremendously for their safety, and they were trying desperately to find it. Fear was debilitating to him, almost like a slow illness. He could feel their fear, but in the midst of that resided determination. THIS was something he needed, and while his own was in great measure, he would not brave the wind without it.

Luckily, he could pick up on the unmistakable aura of heroic hearts, one of which was making her best efforts about a hundred yards ahead of him. This was just what he needed! His blue energy died away, and was replaced by a flaring vibrant orange aura, just like the one before it. With his new strength, he was now more than able to power through the storm. A great axe materialized in his right hand, formed from the very energy he had just harnessed, as he charged headstrong into the fray of earth elementals assaulting the lone meta.

With great momentum, he cleaved three of the stone automatons in half with a single swing. He immediately followed this with a full rotational horizontal strike to take out two more of them. Overwhelming numbers of them quickly began pile on top of him as the began launching themselves at him. He freed himself enough to release a concussive burst of energy that sent his aggressors flying in more pieces than they originally were.

Right around this time, the lighting had ceased, and the wind died down. Clive remained sturdy, axe in hand, but his breathing was slightly heavier. With the scene finally clear, at least for the moment, he looked over curiously to the hovering meta with his maintained expression. He hadn't any words, but still he awaited an answer from her, should she have one. To signify hospitable intent, he lowered his axe and slightly put down his guard.

"Stay here. This looks really bad and you're not properly trained to handle this kinda thing."

"And you are," Olli shouted as Matt struggled out of the car. He watched as the new Titan fought against the hurricane winds until his...Olli didn't know what they were...super-suit activated. He watched Matt for a few seconds until he felt the ground settle. And then, there was another loud sound and everything in the car powered off as a blue ripple encased the car.

The rain was rolling down away from the car so Olli assumed that Matt had activated some type of shield. The car has a protective shield, Olli thought to himself. AWESOME!!! Then he realized that it would be the shield that would keep him from helping people. He strained his eyes to see through the pouring rain. The rock creatures were still running around and people were still being blown about by the heavy winds.

However, a rock creature was closing in on a man and woman. It appeared that the man was trying to guard the woman as she tried to stumble away in the wind and rain. When the "golem," reached the man, it sent him crashing through the window of the store they were in front of as continued after the woman. That was what got Olli to ignore, Matt's comment. He looked at the now flashing, blue light that said "SHIELD" and thought that was extremely convenient.

He hit the button and the shield shimmered away. Bracing himself for a struggle against the wind, Olli pushed open the car door and fell out. The wind had died down. Also convenient, he thought. It was still raining heavily and gusty the way it normally is with heavy rain and he was already thoroughly soaked. He sucked it up, shut the car door and raced over to the woman a rock creature.

Wasting no time, Olli flicked his hands at the golem and it froze instantly. He made a mental note to be proud of himself later for activating his powers on the first try. The woman looked terrified and surprised at the same time and she looked to Olli with a makeup-stained face. "Are you okay," he shouted over the rain. The woman nodded but pointed to the broken window. "My husband!"

"I'm more or less fine," the man said as he got up and shook the glass of of him. "It was a furniture store and luckily, I landed on a bed." The woman ran to him and wrapped her arms around his neck as he embraced her.

"You two should get somewhere safer than this," Olli advised. "Things might get uglier."

"So, it's true," the man said as he looked at Olli. "The Titans ARE back. Its been all over the news."

Olli shook his head. "They are, but I'm not one of them. I'm just a friend."

"Really," the woman replied, a hint of disbelief in her tone. "Well, you sure acted like one coming to help us."

"Either way, thanks," the man cut in. "Come on, Judith. Let's get out of here. The couple smiled at Olli before heading back out in the rain. Olli shook his head and at that moment, the rock creature unfroze. It's target gone must have stunned it because it stood there not moving for a moment. Olli didn't dare stay there to become it's next target. He ran the other way.

He came across a pizza shop and heard a bunch of people screaming for help. He ducked in without even thinking twice.

Athena watched the boy crash into the earth elementals, it was reckless but she didn't question it. The girl blasted the earth constructs to pieces and she could finally see an end to them. When the last of them fell she found herself back to back with the stranger, she took a moment to catch her breath before turning to the guy. "Thanks," she simply offers. Suddenly Athena felt the screams for help causing her to grab her head, she suppressed the pain and quickly headed toward the pizza parlor, she couldn't help but think it odd that she would lose control over her telepathy but she would have to worry about it later.

Matt released small drones from his suit that quickly scattered about the city, they would attempt to find the source causing this mess and it wasn't long before the drones found the massive energy that Athena was talking about and followed. The titan was lead to a tall building in the middle of the city and jetted up to the very top, he found an odd looking woman standing at the edge starring down. If Matt didn't know better, he would've thought she was going to jump. "Hey you, lady, stop whatever it is your doing and step away from the ledge!" He ordered and mentally kicked himself because his voice broke mid sentence.

Katarina found herself near the pizza place when the screams for help started, she gave a sigh and made her way to lend a hand, she wasn't a hero but she wasn't a monster either. The elementals had cornered a group of teenagers and was about to strike but when it went to bash a teen its arm was gone, it stopped its movement the suddenly the earth men's head was gone followed by its arms and legs. The others stood still as if confused then Kat flashed on top of one of the earth creature and the others began to pummel it. A laugh could be heard from the other side of the room catching the attention of the remaining creatures, they shot boulders at her but she quickly flashed out of danger and seemed to be toying with them.

Kat looked at the entrance as Oliver barged in and recognized him from that day she robbed Star Labs and wondered if he rolled with the titans now. Her attention turned back to the creatures and they seemed to notice the wannabe hero as well and were taking aim. "Yo kid, heads up," she says as the constructs fired boulders at Olli.

Victoria Blake ignored the teen's orders at first but when he repeated himself she shot a glare at him with a crazed look in her eyes. "Be gone!" Victoria shouted as lightning struck Matt.

Matt gritted his teeth and dipped a bit from the lightning but he was able to absorb it with his power and his suit, with a quick motion the titan shot the lightning at Victoria, however, his attack was wasted as the lightning rod on the building redirected it.

"You have power over lightning as well, however, you lack proper training. Let me give you a lesson." She says as her eyes began to glow. Without warning six bolts of lightning struck from the sky as if the gods themselves wanted the boy dead. A loud boom followed as if a bomb had went off and this time when the lightning hit the titan he let out a bloodcrudling scream then fall out of the sky.

Victoria seemed to wake from a trance, she collapsed to her knees almost falling off the building, she held her head and let out a scream before disappearing taking her elementals with her and the rain stopped as well.

Athena stopped mid flight, she heard the thunder boom then immediately felt something terrible wash over her. She turned to see Matt falling from the sky, without thinking she quickly flew toward the falling boy, he was out of range and he was falling fast. Just before Matt hit the ground Athena came into range and the teen froze before hitting the ground, Matt's nano suit was all but destroyed and fell from him. When Athena finally reached Matt she gently laid him down, she couldn't feel the teen's mind and he wasn't breathing, she checked desperately for a pulse but couldn't find one.

Athena began to panic but she remembered her first aid training, she tilted Matt's head back and pinched his nose closed then pressed her mouth over his mouth and breathed into him and watched his chest rise. She quickly put her hands over his heart and began to pump his chest, "breathe dammit!" She shouted as tears began to blur her vision. Athena repeated this with no luck, "come on Matt, please!" She pleaded with the teen while pumping his heart. Suddenly Matt took in a deep breath and coughed, Athena started to cry hysterically and brought Matt up and hugged him tightly, everything else seemed to not matter. "Hey, that hurts..." he says with a raspy voice. "Deal with it," she retorts continuing to hug him.

Christian

"Dana! Constantin! Judy," Christian shouted as he entered the pizza parlor he was just in not 20 minutes ago. It didn't look as bad as he was expecting it should after an earthquake but it was bad enough that he was worried that he would find something he wouldn't want to.

There was one light still flickering on and off but that didn't help much. Christian heard sobbing and sounds of pain and the emotional states were starting to get to him. He did feel a headache coming on but he pushed it to the back of his mind as one of his friends called out to him.

He climbed over a piece of fallen ceiling as he made his way over to his friend. "Constantin. Are you okay?"

"Help me lift this," his friend struggled out as he was straining to lift what appeared to be a beam from the ceiling.

Asking no questions, Christian positioned himself and heaved as he and Constantin lifted the beam and tossed it aside. Moving away a table revealed that his friend Judy was trapped under there. He felt a wave of relief emanating from Constantin she looked up at them and smiled. "I'm okay," she said. Christian looked her over and saw that she had a large gash on her leg.

"We need to get everyone out of here before this place comes down around us." Just as he finished speaking did the building crumple in front of everyone. Dust was kicked up and everyone tried to take cover and shield themselves from the falling debris.

When all was quiet again, Christian shook himself out and looked to the front of the building. The exit was blocked by a huge chunk of the ceiling. Before he could tell everyone not to panic, his headache worsened as several people shouted out for help.

Olli

Katarina found herself near the pizza place when the screams for help started. She gave a sigh and made her way to lend a hand. She wasn't a hero but she wasn't a monster, either. The elementals had cornered a group of teenagers and was about to strike but when one of them went to bash a teen, its arm was gone. It stopped its movement then, suddenly, the earth man's head was gone followed by its arms and legs. The others stood still as if confused. Kat then flashed on top of one of the earth creatures and the others began to pummel it. A laugh could be heard from the other side of the room catching the attention of the remaining creatures. They shot boulders at her but she quickly flashed out of danger and seemed to be toying with them.

Olli was quite surprised at what he saw when he ran inside the pizza parlor. There was a group of people huddled in a corner and a familiar looking girl was holding off some of the golems by what Olli assumed was teleporting. He couldn't put a finger on where he had seem the girl before but that was not important at the moment. The group of people were.

He waved for them to make their way over to him as the girl took care of the golems. The hesitated for just a quick second and then ran for the entrance. One of the guys that escaped told Olli that they had friends trapped on the other side of the fallen ceiling. Olli nodded and told them to get to somewhere safe so he could help the ones trapped.

"What? Are you some kind of superhero," the boy who looked to be the same age as Olli asked.

"No. But I can help. Just get somewhere safe."

"Andy," a girl called out. "Let's get out of here."

Kat looked at the entrance as Oliver barged in and recognized him from that day she robbed Star Labs. She wondered if he rolled with the Titans now. Her attention turned back to the creatures and they seemed to notice the wannabe hero as well and were taking aim. "Yo kid, heads up," she says as the constructs fired boulders at Olli.

Olli turned around and froze the boulders not two feet away from his face. He looked back at the boy to see his mouth hanging open and shouted at him to duck. As the boy hit the ground, the boulders unfroze and collided with a parked car.

"GET OUT OF HERE," he shouted. "I can help your friends but you still need to get somewhere safe." The boy looked up at him and nodded. He scrambled off of the wet ground and ran out of sight.

Returning his attention to the scene inside the parlor, Olli spoke to the girl after he tumbled out of the way of a golem who charged at him. "There are people on the other side of there," he yelled as he pointed to the downed ceiling. "Can you help them?" Two more golems came at him he flicked his hands at them. They instantly stopped moving and Olli was actually glad that he was so scared. Apparently, that's when his powers worked in his favor.

Christian

With a massive headache, Christian shouted at everyone to shut up. "I hear people on the other side. Maybe they're trying to help." As everyone quieted down to hear what Christian heard, his headache slightly lessened as he felt a little relief overtake the group of people.

"There are people on the other side of there!" Can you help them?"

Christian felt more relief after hearing this. He didn't know who it was that said that as he didn't recognize the voice due to it being slightly drowned out by what sounded like crashing footsteps. However, he did feel a lot of fear coming from the other side of the fallen ceiling. But he also felt a weird sense of exhilaration on the other side along with a great deal of determination.

What's going on over there, he thought to himself as he backed away from the ceiling. He felt a bit of panic bubbling up behind him and as soon as he turned around, a woman shouted out for help.

"Ma'am, you need to calm down. Someone is coming," Christian's friend Judy quietly spoke from within the arms of Constantin. She hadn't gotten off the floor because of the wound on her leg which was now wrapped up with one of Constantin's shirt. But Christian felt a peace coming for her that he held on to to counteract the panic the woman was feeling.

"I have children I need to get to," the woman shouted. "I don't know if they're okay. I need to get to them. They need me. I need to get out of here and get to them." She began to sob and Christian got a blank stare on his face. He brought an image of a bed with a bunch of pillows on it in nothing but white space into his mind. He threw as much feelings of fatigue and exhaustion in the image as he could muster and held onto it as he called out to the woman.

"Ma'am? I'm sure your kids are fine but you really should calm down." When the lady looked at Christian, she immediately got droopy-eyed and slowly sat down on the ground and laid down, shortly falling asleep. Christian blinked and then walked over to the woman. "She's fainted," he lied to everyone as he fake-examined her. He felt his headache slowly but surely dissipate.

"Must of passed out from all of the worry. But we all need to stay calm. Someone is on the other side trying to get to us. I'm sure we'll all be out of here soon." He sat down at the only table still standing and let out an exasperated breath as everyone settled down and listened for help.

"Thanks."

Clive simply nodded in reply. Before he had a chance to get a word in, the girl took off hastily without warning. He said nothing, as he knew nothing he said would get her attention, nor would it serve to ease the current situation. I guess I'll follow her again, he thought to himself, given that she likely knew more about what was going on than he did.

Clive could not fly, and he didn't want to risk depleting his energy by making leaps there (wherever THAT was), so he was forced to keep his feet on the ground. Making his way through the earthquake ravaged streets wasn't much of a problem for him. It was the clusters of earth elementals that were an obstacle for him.

As he closed in, he bent gravity around himself to break through the first layers of them. The concentration of their numbers grew the deeper he went as he broke through their ranks. He finally came to a stop and tossed one of to the group in front of him, knocking dozens of them down instantly.

He knew he would eventually have to fight through them, so fight he did. With axe in hand, he began to smash and cleave his way through them. His movements were dramatic and heavy, but fluid. Any that attempted to mount or hold him were simply crushed or thrown. He did his best to restrain the use of his gravitational powers to conserve his aura, knowing he would need more of it than he had left, but doing as he could to stretch it.

He soon found himself surrounded completely with about fifty feet of space between him and this small army of stone men. The disproportion in the odds was enormous, but this actually helped him more than it hurt him. It would take MUCH more than this to intimidate him. His energy built up slightly from the strange satisfaction he got from such a challenge.

Clive slammed the head of his axe down, ready to break apart as many of these creatures as he could. From all sides, the rock soldiers began to advance on Clive, and Clive suddenly broke in to a full spin as he swung his axe heavily in a full rotation around him, releasing powerful concussive force behind it.

Just as he struck, so did a sudden flash of lightning, and no later than that, the entire scene was clear. Needless to say, he was slightly befuddled by this. He knew better than to believe that this was HIS doing, but right now, it did not matter. The rain had stopped, and he started to feel at ease. Though he hadn't even a moment to catch his breath before picking up on patterns of elevated stress.

He pinpointed the source of the emotional disturbance. It was not far from him, so he thought this time that he would leap there. The axe faded in his hand mid-flight as he took off. He landed hard in front of what seemed to be the city's tallest building. What he say was the girl from before tightly hugging another boy she had just saved.

Clive could tell now that what he vicariously felt was strong concern, and worry for a loved one. Although he was unaware of who these people were, or their relationship to each other, he could tell she was worried for him because she cared for him.

"Are y'all ok," he offered, empathizing as he knew best how to do.

Katarina gave a nod of agreement, she hated being told what to do but she would do it without complaining. She flashed passed the frozen elemental and appeared in front of the downed ceiling and phased herself through the debris and pulled the group to safety. They had minor injures but they would be fine.

"Alright hero, you can handle it from here." Kat said with a smirk. She walked to two of the golems and lightly put her hands on them, "I'll take these two with me though, peace." With that she flashed out of sight.

Athena levitated the unconscious Matt, she had to get him back to the tower but there were people that needed help. The titans were severely thin with the recent members leaving. Athena shifts her attention to the guy that helped her earlier, "We'll be okay, however, there are still people that are in need of help. I need to attend to my brothers injures, could you help rescue efforts here?"

"We'll be okay. However, there are still people that are in need of help. I need to attend to my brother's injuries. Could you help rescue efforts here?"

He was happy to hear such words of reassurance, but not so much that his aura would spontaneously shift. Still, he couldn't help but almost smile. He would have offered to help her further, but wasn't sure how he would be able to do so. That, and "rescue efforts" implied the presence of those who could possibly use a hand.

"By that, I take it there are more of you here," he said with utmost certainty. "Would you happen to know where they are? If you can send me their way, I'll gladly start there."
