The New TEEN TITANS! (IC)

The situation was the same as before. Clive was about to signal his presence as a request for permission of entry, but yet again his hand was stayed as he felt a sudden reverse in energy. The emotional distress he sensed was replaced with relief.

He hesitantly retreated back to the previous setting, which was now void of life. He was still concerned for the girl, but he felt as if it were no longer necessary. He simply wished to be alone now, as he had now become accustomed to. Despite his all but ultimate sense of empathy, he still seldom seemed attached to anyone. Not that he couldn't use a few friends.

He had the entire room to himself, but his choice in seating arrangement was, needless to say, odd. Instead of taking the couch, or just any actual furniture, he took a seat at the steps on the right at the farthest end of the room closest to the window. He simply gazed off into the still skies, absorbed into the subtle beauty that it withheld, and drifted into still serenity.

The next morning.......

Olli was tired. He thought it impossible to wake up bone tired considering he didn't even switch positions through the night but that was exactly how he felt. He laid in the bed staring at the ceiling for 15 minutes before he even yawned and stretched and after that, he laid there for another 10 minutes before he finally got out of the bed.

He looked at the clock on the bed side table and saw that it was only 7:47 am. Olli was surprised to even be woke and couldn't figure out why he was even up this early. Especially seeing as it was a Saturday.

He walked over to the window and drew the blinds. The early morning sunlight hit him in the face but once his eyes adjusted, the view was beautiful. The way the light hit the water surrounding the island put everything Olli could see in a hazy, golden glow. He could see the city off to the side and he'd never seen it from this perspective, seeing as he lived in the suburbs of Jump City, and found himself suddenly envious of the ones who lived in this place.

It struck him then that he was in nothing but his underware and he quickly backed away from the window. He pulled on his pants and then realized that it was probably silly of him to think that anyone could see across the bay and into the Tower. Still, he put on his shoes and shirt and headed out of the simple room.

It was quiet as he walked down the hall. His footsteps echoed and that made him a little nervous. He was headed to the restroom so he could relieve himself and wash up but remembered that the med bay was on the same floor as the bedrooms. He thought that now was as good a time as any to go and see how Matt was doing.

Arriving at his destination, the glass doors slid open for him and that familiar, yet unwelcome hospital smell hit him. He heard a quiet beeping and headed for it. At the end of the room, there was Matt. He was asleep but something looked strange about him. Athena had told Olli that Matt had a fever and that was probably what looked wrong. Then, Olli saw that the boy had a couple IV needles in his arm and hand. He was surprised at how much the others knew.

The odd-looking nurse-bot was sitting on the other side of Matt and Olli remembered how she responded to voice commands from when Matt took him to this room to help with his leg last month. Seeing as he knew next to nothing about hospital equipment or how to read any of the machines, he softly said the the nurse-bot, "Hey, how's Matt doing?"

He got no response and thought that the robot didn't hear him. He walked around the bed, getting a little too close for comfort to the robot and repeated his question. Still nothing. He tapped on the machine's head lightly to see if it was on and still, nothing happened. He then figured that maybe the thing only responded to the Titans and decided that it was best not to annoy it in case he caused some alarm to go off. Considering the fact that Matt was sleep and he didn't know what else to do in here, he left out, vowing that he would come back later when Athena was awake.

He headed out of the med bay and went into the restroom. Remembering that the restroom always had soap and towels, Olli took a quick, scalding hot shower. The water felt good on his tired body and helped loosen up his muscles. He felt grimy putting on the same dirty clothes from yesterday after getting out of the shower but resigned himself to it and made his way to the common area.

The huge windows that over looked the bay always amazed Olli as it let him see both ends on Jump City. He looked at the large but flat digital clock hanging over the the kitchen sink as he grabbed an apple. It was only 8:30 am. He hadn't even been up for an hour yet. He was about to head back towards the windows when he saw the boy from last night. He was asleep on the stairs, in the furthest corner of the room. Weird, Olli thought to himself. Maybe he didn't hear Athena offer him a room, though.

He didn't think it looked comfortable but Olli saw a look of contentment on the boys face as he walked over to him. That made him decide against waking him and head back to the windows. He wondered when everyone would wake up as he looked out at the city.

Athena walks up from behind Olli with a cup of coffee in her hand and stops to the right of him, she stares out over the city for a second before addressing the boy. "Good morning, Olli, hope you were able to sleep well." She says still looking out the large window, the teen seems to have some sort of tablet to her side and if Olli were to look at her face he would notice the dark patches under her eyes, she had gotten carried away looking for any information on the woman who attacked the city.

Matt

Matt's eyes fluttered open and was surprised to find that he was in the med wing of the tower, the last thing he could remember was confronting some woman on some building in the city. He groaned before sitting up and felt the room spin for a second, Serena the nurse bot sprung to action placing a pillow behind Matt so he could easily sit up. "Good morning master, how are you feeling?" Serena bot says with a mechanical voice. Matt was confused for a moment then a look of understanding washed over his face. "oh yeah, Serena have you completed downloading file name: anime nurse forward slash maid girl?" He asked curiously.

Serena Bot did not hesitate, " yes master, however you've failed to answer my question, how are you feeling this morning." The robotic voice seemed to get frustrated.

"Excellent," Matt says with a maniacal laugh. "Hmm, I might have to adjust your emotion programs...you seem snippy." He says rubbing his chin pondering the situation. "Anyways, I feel better, a bit dizzy though. Hand me the reports, please."

Serena Bot bowed and handed the boy a tablet with his most current readings on the status on his body, he flipped through the screen backing to the the first readings, "what a mess," Matt says with a sigh. Serena Bot tilted her head, "Master, would you like me to alert Overlord Athena?" She says with her robotic voice.

Matt's eye brow twitched, "I hate when she touches my stuff without her permission..." he says before continuing. "Nah, just help me to the common room." Serena Bot nodded and quickly fetched a wheel chair. "Hmm, how plain. Remind me to upgrade the wheel chair, Serena." He says not impressed by the non-technofied chair. "Noted," she replies actually creating a file in her memory.

A few minutes later Matt and Serena Bot enter the common room passing the sleeping boy, "Who's that guy?" He Queries. Serena is quick to answer. "No available data is found, Would you like me to take a blood sample, Master?" she says holding her finger up with a needle shooting out of it. "Hmm, maybe later. I think it's polite to ask before taking blood samples. Serena lowers her hand and the needle disappears. "As you wish Master," she replies robotically.

The two meet Athena and Olli at the window, "crazy happenings going on last night... I think my nano suit is fried." He says sadly.

Athena ignores Matt's feelings about his suit, "Are you okay..." She asked patiently

"Yeah, I'm good just a little dizzy, I have some burns and they hurt but they're not that serious. Thankfully my suit absorbed most of the lightning, that much would have killed me even with my electricity abilities. Though it seems I had symptoms of a fever that was most likely caused by my over absorption." He says matter-o-factually. Athena looked him over, trying to find anything visibly wrong with him not so sure that he should be out of bed. "So you gonna stay in that hospital gown all day?" She says causing Matt to blush a bit. "Oh yeah, I'll change." Matt says rubbing the back of his head now realizing how shore he was. "Hey Olli, When you get here?" He asked not knowing he stayed the night.

Athena walked up to Olli from behind with a cup of coffee in her hand and stood to the right of him. She stared out over the city for a second before addressing the boy. "Good morning, Olli. Hope you were able to sleep well."

Olli took a quick glance at Athena and took a quick mental note that she looked more tired than he felt. "Good morning to you, too." He stretched his arms over his head and let out a grunt of pleasure. "I actually slept like a dead man. However, I still feel exhausted."

He took another bite of his apple and swallowed it before speaking again. "I went to check on Matt when I woke up." He let the words hang in the air. He didn't know what to say after that. But before he could think of anything else to say, he and Athena heard Matt, himself, talking.

Olli turned to see the robo-nurse wheeling Matt into the common room and heard them talking about the sleeping guy in the corner. Matt and Athena then had a sibling moment with Athena looking him over and Matt saying it could have been worse than what it was. Olli couldn't stop himself from examining Matt either. However, He was trying to be as inconspicuous as possible when Matt finally addressed him.

"Hey Olli. When did you get here?"

"I actually spent the night. I brought your car back and Athena offered me a room for the night. But are you SURE you're okay." Olli couldn't hide his concern for Matt. The lighting in the med bay wasn't like the lighting in the common room and it was as if Olli was really seeing the damage done to Matt.

The burns made Olli looked Matt up and down absentmindedly. He was almost certain that Matt shouldn't really be out of bed but there was nothing he could do about that. He was just glad that he was conscious.

Not wanting to make it awkward, for Matt, Olli changed the subject. "So, I flew your car back here and ran into Vex and that guy over there," he said making a gesture towards the sleeper. "Who is he?"

Titan's Tower

"I actually spent the night. I brought your car back and Athena offered me a room for the night. But are you SURE you're okay." Olli couldn't hide his concern for Matt. The lighting in the med bay wasn't like the lighting in the common room and it was as if Olli was really seeing the damage done to Matt.

Matt noticed the concern on Oliver's face and felt guilty for making him worry when it was his fault Olli got wrapped up in this mess. "I'm fine really, I'll be healed up in no time with my healy ray, by the way I'm gonna need that back for a bit." He said then put on an annoyed face before speaking again, "Too bad I was passed out, we coulda played video games and stayed up late exploring the dark side of the internet."

Not wanting to make it awkward, for Matt, Olli changed the subject. "So, I flew your car back here and ran into Vex and that guy over there," he said making a gesture towards the sleeper. "Who is he?"

"That's pretty impressive that you got here live then, I could imagine that the T car would be hard to drive if you didn't know what most the buttons did not to mention flying it." The teen says rubbing his chin then looked back up to Olli, "perhaps you have a high level intelligence after all." Serena Bot reacted to Matt's words and responded, "would you like me measure his head, Master?" Matt thought for a second as if concerting this idea, "Nah...that won't be necessary. Although I would like to know who that guy is on the stairs." He says pointing to the fellow.

Athena looked to Clive on the floor and tilted her head, it was odd the boy chose to sleep there and not take a room like Oliver, maybe he liked sleeping on hard surfaces, she pondered. "His name is Clive, he assisted me with a hoard of those earth golems or whatever they were. Anyways I told him he was welcomed to rest here." Athena says looking at the sleeping boy, it would be easy for her to invade his mind while he was sleeping, however she was told that was rude.

Somewhere in Jump City in a little coffee shop

Katarina sits in her usual spot next to the window, this particular coffee shop was a very special coffee shop even though it was never too busy, in fact she was the only patron there at the moment. The teleporter sips on her tea deep in thought mostly on what happened yesterday. Katarina was hired to steal another device during the chaos and she could only assume that that was the reason the mayhem was caused, she didn't feel comfortable on how far her employer went to get the device, she could have easily done the job without help or the mess that followed. She sighed and took a drink of her tea, she was so deep in thought that she almost didn't hear the owners voice.

"What a shame, I never thought this part of town would go to the dogs," the older man said disappointingly.

The old man was one of Katarina's favorite people, he was usually smiling and his kindness was usually radiating from him also he kinda looked like that wizard in Harry Potter, Dumble...something. Katarina looked where the old man was and saw that there was a group of men apart of a gang called Black Spider, they were in the open punking some kid around and doing other cliche gang stuff. Kat usually didn't get involved with stuff like this, she wasn't the hero type, however this was her turf and what's more they were hurting the business of the coffee shop.

"Nah, I'll deal with those clowns Pops," Kat says with a wink. The old man gave her a look then sighed. "Fine, just don't hurt them too badly..." He says with concern. Katarina smile with a nod and vanished from the coffee shop leaving the Owner to continue cleaning his spotless shop.

Katarina appeared in front of the Black Spiders wearing a white mask with only two slits for her eyes, she cleared her voice to get their attention, the five men take their attention from the young man they were beating on who was now on the ground. "Maybe you didn't know or perhaps you Black Spiders are just really stupid, this is Ghost territory, my territory. I'm in a rather good mood so I'll let you jackasses walk away without bloodying you up first but only if you promise not to show your stupid faces again." She says rather smugly. Usually her name held power with the gangs in Jump City, her reputation for single handling ripping gangs apart for crossing her was kind of legendary. The men stay silent starring at Katarina before breaking out in laughter, this did not sit well with her at all, were these idiots that clueless or has her rep disseminated somehow, either way she was not amused. "What's so funny, you jackasses have a death wish?" She asked losing her patients. "You expect us to believe the Legendary Ghost. The Ripper. The Gang Destroyer. Is some sort of little girl with a cheesy mask? Just get outta here before you learn your place." One of the guys said with the others laughing like he said something funny. Katarina was furious to say the least, "your last..." she says pointing to the big mouth.

Ghost disappears from their sight leaving the Spider gang confused, she appears behind two of the men and slams their heads together knocking them out cold, the three others barely turn in time to see their friends hit the ground. Ghost appears again her fist already at one of the guys throat causing the man to gasp for air and collapse then again she was gone before they could react, the next would only feel a tap on his back followed by a series of three beeps before the device Ghost left on him went off sending volts of electricity through him dropping the man like a sack of rocks. The remaining Black Spider went pale as if he seen a ghost (Hmm!)and took off as fast as he could not once looking back at his "friends", however he would not get far. Ghost appeared in front of the man with her boot out causing the loud mouth to trip and slam to the ground, he would struggle to his feet only to find the haunting mask of Ghost in his face. "W-what are you?!" The loud mouth screamed in terror. Ghost's hand shoot up to the man's neck as she began to choke him. "I might as well be a god to you jackass humans." She says with the chill of death in her words. Suddenly the loud mouth vanishes and appears ten feet in the air and falls hard on his back, "You Black Spiders are through. Tell your people I'm going hunting and it's spider season, if you jackasses are smart you'll disband and vanish before I rip all of you to shreds," then just as suddenly as she appeared she was gone.

Katarina appears back in her seat taking her mask off before wrapping her fingers around her still warm drink, she also found a banana nut muffin in front of her for her troubles, she smiles at the old man who was sweeping at the clear floor. "Thanks Pops but it's not necessary, those punks had it coming." She says taking a bite out of the muffin. The old man looked at her with a frown, "Yah know you forgot to check if that young man was alright." He said sadly. Katarina frowned and put the muffin back on the table, "He's not a child and you know I'm not a hero...I'm not one of the 'good guy'." She says shamefully. She looks out the window and saw the guy get up and start to run away as well as the former Black Spiders run in the other direction.

Just as Athena finished her statement, Clive slowly began to wake. He hadn't the focus to make out her words in time, so he would not catch mention of himself. He had slept dreamlessly, but his mind was still tired, so he in turn felt tired. He sat up and stretched his arms out in front of him, letting out what you might call a 'yawning groan.' He soon realized that he was basically surrounded, and decided it appropriate to actually address his peers.

"You're all up early," he stated, slightly surprised by the somewhat atypical promptness of teens.

Olli had forgotten all about the ray gun Matt had let him use yesterday. It fixed up his leg instantly. No reason why it wouldn't work now. He felt some of his apprehension about Matt's condition lessen. "Sure. It's in your car," Olli responded then looked down sheepishly, "which, by the way, is just sitting out on the island. I couldn't remember where the entrance for the cars. So, yeah." He shrugged his shoulders.

Matt then put on an annoyed face before speaking again. "Too bad I was passed out. We coulda played video games and stayed up late exploring the dark side of the internet."

Olli cocked one of his eyebrows in confusion. "The 'dark side' of the internet? What are you talking about?" He suddenly gasped. "Are you talking about...porn..." he whispered in embarrassment considering Athena was standing right there.

With both boys changing the subject to prevent further awkwardness, they both landed on the subject of the sleeping boy.

Just as Athena finished her statement, Clive slowly began to wake. ....He sat up and stretched his arms out in front of him, letting out what you might call a 'yawning groan.' He soon realized that he was basically surrounded, and decided it appropriate to actually address his peers.

"You're all up early," he stated, slightly surprised by the somewhat atypical promptness of teens.

"It was an accident for me," Olli said. "My body wouldn't stay down." He looked the boy over with intense curiosity. Normally, he wouldn't be surprised by someone falling asleep where they were as he'd done so at a number of 'wild parties' himself. But he was offered a bed last night and the boy was more awake than Olli was if he was remembering correctly. "So, was the floor really that comfortable?"

"So, was the floor really that comfortable?"

Clive shrugs in response. "It's more a habit than a decision. I'm used to laying my head wherever. So long as I can find clarity."

"You mean like meditating," Olli asked. And that brought to his mind the guy he met yesterday when he was helping out the group of people in the pizza parlor. He couldn't recall his name due to all of the excitement that was going on but did remember that they exchanged numbers to discuss how it was sometimes a hassle having special powers.

The boy said that his powers were mental but he wasn't a psychic and that made Olli wonder about the boy in front of him. "Are you a psychic?"

"Are you a psychic?"

No. I can't tell what you think, but I CAN tell how you feel. In short, I'm empathic. And yes, I do have my own outlets for 'meditation.' To add, I can manifest auras and emotional energies into maliable form. However, there are some energies I cannot use, and I automatically assume whichever present feeling is the strongest, be it my own or that of another. I try as I can to maintain stability.

Not sure he was understanding correctly, Olli tried to verify what he just heard. "You're saying you can pretty much make emotions physical?" He turned to Athena with a quizzical look. He wasn't sure if she could do something like that and he certainly didn't know if theboy he met last night could either.

"If that's what you mean, that pretty effin epic," he said turning back to Clive with an impressed grin on his face. "I'll tell you, this is really starting to sound like a comic book. Empathy, psychic mojo, super-freaky-mad-science stuff, and what I can do... Man."

Olli simply shook his head. This was all unbelievable. "Oh, yeah. My name's Olli."

Olli's first comment was met simply with an affirming nod, and his second with an amused smile. He found it delightful that anyone would commend him on his abilities. He wasn't even that strong, but he was glad to know someone appreciated what he had.

"Oh, yeah. My name's Olli."

"Clive," he gestured to himself.

"I appreciate the hospitality you've shown me thus far, but if I may ask, just who are all of you?"

Matt and Athena

Athena listened to the two converse without interrupting and find it was humorous how excited Oliver got when he heard of others powers, it was like watching a child see a super hero for a first time. She had to admit to herself, when she first saw the original titans she was left start struck and the whole experience changed her life, mostly for the better. The teen looked over to Matt and saw that he drifted off to sleep while the two other teens talked. Matt had always been hard headed and always had a strong sense of justice, however, he was a bit on the soft side and goof as well. Athena poked Matt's head which made him groan and spout some math equation, she smiled now completely ignoring the two others. "Serena, get Matt back to bed and let him sleep off the pain killer," she commanded. Serena nodded her head and wheeled Matt back to the med wing.

Oliver, the Titan?

"I appreciate the hospitality you've shown me thus far, but if I may ask, just who are all of you?"

Athena tuned back in just in time to catch the question and figured it would be best to answer since Olli wasn't one of them. "We are Titans, a team of young and gifted individuals who have sworn to protect the city from any threats at any means necessary," she says sounding more like a computer then a teen. Her eyes are focused on Oliver as if aiming to throw something. "You have already helped us on a few missions and have shown courage and resourcefulness, however you are not a titan and therefore I am officially offering a spot on the team. If you would join us I would need you to commit, that means moving into the tower and begin to train with the rest of us. However if you would decline I would hold nothing against you but I would ask you to stay away from us on the field and here at home." She says bluntly. "I do not want you to get hurt anymore then you already have." Athena explains showing a bit of concern in her voice.

Olli was completely taken aback by Athena's invitation. And that surprised home even more considering he did hang around the new Titans a lot since he first met them a little over a month ago. He remembered when Athena told him he had the potential to be a Titan one day.

Sure, he thought that day was in the nowhere near future but still, that didn't stop him from fantasizing about it from time to time. This time was no different. But before all the cheering he was beginning to imagine could blow up his ego, his parents came to mind and burst that bubble so fast that it knocked him out of his reverie.

Athena was still staring at him, waiting on an answer. And while everything in him practically begged him to say yes, he continued to think of his parents. He lived with them and worked with his dad, or at least at the same place of work. He was also their only child. How would they react to him living with a bunch of super-powered teens with no supervision. Not to mention the obvious dangers of living life as a superhero, (if he would ever consider himself one.)

But then it struck him; he was 18 years old. He was legally a young adult. While he couldn't drink, he could watch R-rated movies without adult supervision and he could vote. Plus, it would be like going off to college. At least, that would he how he would sell it to his mom and dad.

He knew it wouldn't be easy breaking this to them but this was something he couldn't pass up. He thought it would help that he already told them of his powers but he didn't hold much else in the realm of hope that this would be simple.

For him, the decision was already made as soon as Athena asked him. But he had a family to consider and that was what caused him to pause. Looking at Athena finally, he responded with as serious a tone he could muster.

"You're a psychic so you already know my answer. But I have a family to consider. I can't just up and leave them for something that's obviously life-threathening. At least not without giving them time to process and accept it." His facial expression began to reflect his serious tone. "While I'm saying "yes," I'm also asking for a little time to sort it out with my parents. They won't he happy and they probably will try to get me to change.my mind or something. Let me work it out with them, first. Okay? Then, I'm yours to mold."

Clive listened curiously as both teens discussed Olli's recruitment. Athena appeared to be so cool about it, while Olli tried hard to replicate this façade, but Clive knew better. Athena was reasonably concerned based on apparent past experience, which silently got Clive's attention. However, hearing Olli accept her offer, he was washed over by positive energy.

Olli explained his worry for his parents, but this was quite easily overshadowed by his repressed excitement. Clive had nothing of his own in particular that he could equate this to, but it felt good nonetheless. He couldn't help but smile as he shook his head. He decided it best to leave them as to allow them their moment. He would rather not interrupt this.

"You two seem to have a lot to discuss, so I'll just leave y'all be for now. Though, I would like to speak with you when you're done here," Clive thought to Athena, taking advantage of the newfound knowledge of her power. Clive was taking his leave outside as he attempted communication, and Athena would know to meet him there afterwards.

New Friends, New Titans?

Athena smiled in approval, although she was psychic she tried not to invade her friends personal space by reading their minds, however, it was a habit that wasn't easy to break. She nodded agreeing to Oliver's terms, it was understandable that he had to settle things with his parents, though she wondered what it was like having protective parents. "That's not a problem, take the weekend to settle things but we start training early Monday morning," she replies. Athena seemed like she was struggling to say something, "I can imagine it could be really annoying having protective parents like that, telling how to live and in your business," she says curiously. Having a friend with parents that were actually parents was rare to Athena, she couldn't even remember her's and Matt and Katarina were in the same foster home she was so they didn't have parents either, in fact most of the titan's didn't have parents and those who did had bad relationships like Snow and her father.

"You two seem to have a lot to discuss, so I'll just leave y'all be for now. Though, I would like to speak with you when you're done here," Clive thought to Athena, taking advantage of the new found knowledge of her power. Clive was taking his leave outside as he attempted communication, and Athena would know to meet him there afterwards.

Athena's eyes shifted to Clive as he was walking away, she was surprised that he was already speaking to her through thought, making telepathic links when talking to someone was another habit of hers but for someone to actually use it without being told about it was amazing in itself. ~As you wish, I'll be there momentarily.~ She replies telepathically. Athena had took a peek at Clive's thoughts and knew the reason he was in Jump City was to help people with his powers so she didn't have to delve deeper to know what he wanted to talk about.

Katarina's Day Off.

After Katarina's run in with the Black Spider gang she needed some air, the old man's eyes of disappointment still fresh in her mind, if it was anyone else she would have brushed it off but she respected that man's opinion. She would try to remind herself that she was not a hero and that she didn't owe the world a thing after losing everything, besides she had all the money she wanted and respect from the underground, what more could she need, though it was a bit lonely sometimes. Katarina sighed as she failed to pick her spirits back up and continued walking down the cities streets that weren't destroyed, people still had lives to live and the city almost being destroyed didn't stop them, it was one of the only thing she liked about the human race, the spirit to move on.

Suddenly Katarina heard a scream from a woman across the street, "My car!" she yelled. Katarina shrugged her shoulders and continued walking, however, another scream came from her. "My baby was in there!" Kat sighed, no matter how cold she was to everyone she couldn't sit by and let a defenseless baby get hurt. She reaches in a pocket hidden in her jacket and puts her hand on her mask, it teleports and appears on her face then she vanishes from the street. In the back seat of the stole car she can see the face of a rough looking woman in the rear view mirror, she puts her hands on the sleeping baby and was glad to see it wasn't in any danger. Kat looked back at the woman through the mirror not being spotted yet, "hey jackass, you might want to check the back seat before you take off with a car, getting for Kidnapping for stealing a rust bucket like this is an amature mistake." She says annoyed from under her mask. Kat saw the woman's eyes go wide and she could see that the woman was getting ready to slam on her breaks that was her que to bail with the baby.

Teleporting she appears in front of the lady who had screamed just before she heard the sound of a car slamming into a light pole then handed the baby over. "Here, sorry about your car, I didn't want to endanger the baby by stopping the thief..." she says not actually sounding sorry, however, she didn't know why she felt like she needed to explain herself. The lady was over come by joy and wasn't even phased when her car was wrecked, "thank you, thank you so much! You must be a Teen Titan!" she praises. Katarina let out a sarcastic laugh, "as if I'd be one of those losers." She says before disappearing. She appears again in an alley way and slips off her mask, "What a waste of time..."

Not sure what Athena was reaching for, Olli just smiled and nodded. "It can be a hassle sometimes considering the fact that I'm 18. But their hearts are in the right place."

He took note of Athena's glance at Clive and figured that she was in telepathic contact with him. Olli smiled at this. He remembered Athena telling him in passing that it was rare for a relatively new acquaintance to be able to speak to her via telepathy when he first did it. But Olli surmised that because they both shared mental abilities, it was easier for Clive to telepathically communicate with Athena.

"But I kinda DO need a ride back to the city. I told my parents that I'd be home as soon as I could. Its still a little early but I don't want to make them anxious." He heaved out a sigh. "Matt is still doped up and Red X hasn't waken up yet. Would you be able to take me home later?"

I blame Disney channel!

Athena nodded, she didn't want to press the parent thing too much more and come off as some sort of weird person but she did have some more questions, instead she replied to his question. "I can fly you over whenever, I don't drive and who knows where RedX is...I don't see why Matt is so keen on giving that person a chance, however, he has his reasons and I'll respect them..."She says a little embarrassed now, she was talking so freely with Oliver and about another titan like a school girl talks about a friends friend. "S-sorry I shouldn't have said that just disregard that..."She said feeling her face get hot. "Anyways, you can use the TV and take whatever you'd like from the kitchen, I have somethings to do be fore I can take you home." She says hating how awkward she sounded, she was usually calm and cool but right now she was nervous and excited, it was a strange feeling.

The teen turns and walks toward the direction Clive went, she took a deep breath to try and settle herself and make sense of her sudden weirdness. She had watched a lot of TV since she's been at the tower, well a lot more then she used to and most of it was Disney and wondered if she could be experiencing one of those "teen moments", she shook her head and cursed herself for being so ridiculous. Athena stopped closing her eyes then took a moment to clear her head and put her emotions in check, she was about to speak with a boy who had the ability to read emotions and she didn't want to make a fool of herself. She opened her eyes and she was calm and cool once again, there would be no emotion for Clive to read as she continued on her path.

Clive stood at the shore gazing aimlessly at the horizon, pondering his next course of action. Athena's statement about 'The Titans' circulated through his mind. He had heard legends surrounding that name, but these are not the same people spoken of. Either way, he wasn't sure he was worthy of sharing that title, or whatever honor it may hold. His train of thought was interrupted as Athena stepped out to follow through on his request to speak with her. Oddly enough, she withheld no feeling, which he found to be rather telling, but also raising a few questions in his mind. Ignoring this, he initiated with a more considerate address.

"I take it everything went well?"

Athena nods her head acknowledging Clive's question but not really answering she wasn't in a bad mood, however, she didn't want to show much emotion. "What was it that you need to speak about, don't worry I'm not in your head." She said tapping the side of her head playfully and adding a hollow smile.
