You seem to think the dragons wouldn't starve and go back into hibernation unless the planet was completely wiped clean of all life, so very stupid. Quinn had the right idea. Dig in and outlast them. Quinn was a thinker, Van Zan wasn't.
Van Zan's actions only caused the death of most of his people and Quinn's people, as Quinn was right AGAIN when he warned Van Zan that if he went after the male, it'd stomp his ass and backtrack its way to the castle. WHICH IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED.
This is why Van Zan rage quit, Quinn a regular guy was right all along; Van Zan was just too arrogant, too angry and too suicidal too listen. A guy this arrogant, angry and unstable has no chance here.
