he wasnt trying to kill it. he was getting it to kill him. 🙂

they needed explosive arrows and harpoons to hurt them. 🙂

even firearms were not effective. 🙂

he knew he wasnt going to do shit with that axe. 🙂

cry more about it?

Trying to injure or kill it. Courageous. Awesome. Quit hating.

Keep ignoring the circumstances and trolling. I am fine with it.

You're just making shit up again, like you've done before with your "sacrifice" claim to "buy Quinn time". It's been debunked. We've already gone over repeatedly that his suicide-jump in no shape or form helped Quinn, not at all. This is a film fact.

Keep blaming me on exactly what you're doing, ignoring the context of each scene and the movie as a whole. been doing this since page one. Van Zan as a character has been broken down and scrutinized. He's simply a poor-man's Ahab and terribly written.

He was doing everything he could to give the group the best chance to kill the dragon. He was put in a situation that garnered this response. He Wasnt there to commit suicide up against the dragon.

You're ignoring the movie, the character, the situation, and the circumstances. You seriously are a troll. It's obvious. But whatever I could care less and will debunk you at every turn.

I'd glad you finally accept that his jump did nothing to further the cause; it was nothing more than a rage-quit.

As far as "doing everything he could", his climbing of the tower was dumb, as we saw, if his one shot failed, he was in a very compromised position. He's a very poor strategist and not much of a thinker as we see throughout the movie.

Incorrect, repeating lies won't make them true. You refuse to admit that the character and his actions were poorly written, because you think he's some "badass". You also don't get to call anyone a troll, considering your known history and you've yet to debunk a single thing in here, as all you do is ignore the film. Everything said, I can support with film facts; that is a fact. "Could care less", iPad trolling you again, bro?

If it was him quitting he wouldn't swing an axe. Lol.

You can call it dumb all you want. Acting like one thinks with perfect clarity when a dragon is trying to kill you is simply untrue. No, he hunted and killed dragons before. The same dragons which had humanity on its heels.

No, he was an exceptional hero and died for the cause. You're ignorance is truly something.

Zan wins.

And back to ignoring the film. He never swung the axe when he jumped. You never support you Van Zan claims with film facts.

Because it was dumb, as we saw. Once again you're ignoring that he climbed the tower first; then the dragon tried to kill him. Stop ignoring the film, from what we saw, he blundered a lot as shown.

More Van Zan wanking cos you can't accept one of your favorite's is just a very poorly written Captain Ahab clone.

Van Zan does, via jumping to his death feats like a "badass".

He jumped swinging the axe.

No, it was heroic in spite of the circumstances. You probably view war veterans as dying facing overwhelming odds as rage quitters. Your views are offensive.

No, you're hurt he beats McClane. This has always been the case.

Incorrect. He jumped with the axe cocked back but never swung it. This is a film fact, so stop ignoring it.

And back to rants and ad hominem attacks cos you can't counter the points and need to dodge them since the film facts disagree with your views.

Repeat: McClane's not in this thread 🙂 Considering you consistently bring him up here as yet another means to dodge on topic points you can't handle, it seems like you're the one who's upset with McClane's pretty awesome MVf record.

He was attacking just because the dragon kills him we don't pretend Zan wasn't attacking. Your brain is truly unique.

This thread is in response to the McClane thread. I know its silly of me to expect you to follow along with all of this but I'm really trying to give you the eye fit of the doubt.

Rob--guy jumps with axe at a dragon.

Robs assessment--he was trying to kiss him. The axe was just foreplay.

Zan wins.

And now the flips. Your claim was that he "swung the axe", when you're faced with the facts that he didn't and that your whole premise was wrong. Flip, flip, flip.

More "McClane!" "McClane" "McClane" as a means to to and divert and dodge what you have no answer to. McClane's not in this thread, stop obsessing over him, or in the very least go make another one of your ridiculous gimped matches where you kill a character you don't like, McClane this time 🙂

Sure, keep ignoring the entire context of the scene and the build up of the character and his action throughout the movie that lead up to that scene and just go with your "he jumped at the dragon cos he's a badass" claims.

And another strawman argument cos you can't address my actual argument. Nothing new.

Van Zan wins via shown feats. Being irrational and jumping into certain death.

He jumped while swinging the axe. Lol. Pretend he didn't. I could care less.

It's in response to that thread. You aren't smart enough to see that. It is cool we've already established your intelligence.

He did jump because he as heroic and a badass. Your dreams that he was some retarded fool are only that of the butthurt posse without a shred of objectivity.

I destroyed your worthless argument.

You think a guy who jumps with an axe isn't really attacking something. Lol.

he didnt swing the axe, so it was not an attack. 🙂

sorry. 🙂

cry for another 50 pages about it. 🙂

He is fully prepared to troll this topic for as many pages as it takes you and everyone else to stop responding, then he'll claim "victory".

Yep. You do care, we agree.

So by your "logic" do you mean to say that he wanted gay beast sex with the dragon too...? After all he jumped (presumably) with a dick too..........

to be fair, he intended to practice safe sex as he jumped at the dragon with a condom in his wallet.

too bad his courtship was rejected.

Well, as poop, he ended up in the dragon's arse one way of another in the end, I guess.

Yes, he did. Yes, it was. You are wrong. 🙂
