Iron Man has received the best treatment out of all the Avengers, though, and that is specifically because he might as well be "the protagonist" of the Avengers. How many of the other characters have had three movies? Iron Man 3 made over a billion dollars in like a month and a half. Who was it that ultimately came up with the clutch plan and saved New York via heroic sacrifice? Iron Man has the most character development and the most screentime out of all the Avengers.
I know, and when you look at it, IM is massively more popular than Wolverine (on the big screen that is), and they did bank on that, by revolving a lot of the marketing for Avengers around IM, giving him the best dialogue, some of the coolest scenes, and having him save the day.
And yet they still didn't make the whole movie revolve around just him. The most exciting fight in the movie was Thor vs Hulk, so didn't even involve IM. The most fun scenes were all Hulk based.
The Villain of the movie was Thor's brother, making the plot revolve around Thor quite a bit. And even with Cap he got to lead the team during the final battle. I can only ever hope for Cyclops to be portrayed as well in an X-Men movie as Cap was in Avengers.
BW had a really cool introduction, had some good scenes throughout the movie and was the one to close the portal. Fury and Coulson were not exactly unnoticed either. I'd say it's only Hawkeye who ended up being an extra tbh.
All in all it was a Great "Ensemble" movie. And not just an Iron Man and Co. movies. That would have ruined it.

The biggest weaknesses of the X-Men movies imo, and the reason for why Wolverine is such a superstar, is weak writing and weak casting. I think that if you had had someone like Whedon writing the X-Men titles, the cast would have had a more balanced level popularity. As it stands, in the first three X-Men movies, the cast was about 80% shit. Xavier, Magneto and Logan were pretty much the only decent characters in he whole trilogy.
Exactly!
