Liked the second one as a film, but not the first.

But neither of them was "spot on" (as you put it) when it came to portraying the X-Men well.

The first one was solid I felt, except they could've used someone else for Sabretooth, like the guy who played him in Origins.

Didn't like how the 2nd one completely ignored the backstories of some characters that were on-screen at the same time, like with Logan and Yuriko, or Nightcrawler/Rogue and Mystique. Not once was there a subtle hint or anything that Mystique was their mother, that Rogue and Kurt were siblings, or that Yuriko knew Logan (probably due to her being mind-controlled by Stryker, but still).

Ah I'm biased tbh. I just hated them because they began the whole: Let's make this a "Wolverine & Friends" franchise instead of an X-Men franchise.

Agreed Darth. Every Fox X-Men movie is "Wolverine & Some Other Mutants who are also there"

And they've neglected a lot of backstory, including Wolverine's.

Also I'm not sure if this has been discussed, but how does he get his claws back?

Did the trailer show him with adamantium claws?

I actually enjoy the xmen stories central to wolverine. Fox just needs to flesh out more of his character and find actors who can play off him well.

Even though it remains that Wolverine could be written much better, they still need to flesh out other characters a lot more.

As for how Logan gets adamantium claws back (if he does) after that last movie, hell if I know.

They've given him more than enough back story for that 1 character. It's others they need to focus on if they're serious about giving us a good "X-Men" franchise.

Magneto probably fixes Wolverine's claws. But that issue won't matter for most the movie as he will be in his past body with the full bone claws again.

in the future mags probably recovered them but he will be back to bone claws hence the fact that they teased a fight between him and mags and they suggested wolvie would have surprise on his side

But doesn't Wolverine still have adamantium in the rest of his body for Magneto to play with? His entire skeleton was infused with the substance.

Only in the future. In the past he's all bone underneath.

GOD I hope so! Magneto should always be more powerful than Wolverine. Especially a Wolverine who's not completely indestructible.

But don't trust Singer to see it that way.

Theres no way mags should beat bone claw wolvie. Especially since wolvie has no noticeable ability at first until he stabs

Well, ok he could get him by surprise. Even Beast has been able to do that, and might be doing that again looking at the pics.

But they better not portray Wolverine just being able to beat Young Mags for a majority when he doesn't have any metal in his bones.

martial arts mags will get his a** handed to him by wolvie. however i think it will be wolvie breaking up the beast and magneto fight or he will stop mags from hurting mystique
