If you can't tell the difference in Scott's interviews due to the co,binned universe shaping his film despite bitching like a girl about a title you're more feminine than I thought.

Just glad shooting finally gets under way this January.

I don't know WTF Neill Blomkamp is thinking with the other Alien film, but I'm looking forward to this.

co,binned (kəm-cahmuh-bīnn′d)
v. co,bined, co·binn·ing, co·bines

1. archaic troll-speak gibberish, means nothing.

Combined. Sorry, but if Scott didn't have to coordinate with alien maybe he wouldn't dance all over his own words in the interviews. You hate the title and cried over it. Shame.

Yeah, the only problem is that I've heard so many different dates for filming.

I've read that it's been pushed back to February or even March, so who the hell knows..

There's so many factors...I wouldn't read this as a bad sign.
Something as simple as the soundstage they want to use is still being used by a prior production who needs more time. Set props may be more elaborate & need more time to build, an actor may still have obligations to another film...all sorts of reasons...

Yeah, good points. They appear to still be in the process of casting.

Yeah I heard Blomkamp's having trouble finding a cast.
His idea of an Anal-Burster is scaring them away. 🙁

Then he should look within the pron industry... they'd probably line up!

Confirmed for Australia in January. 💃

Along side Thor: Ragnarok, apparently.

Yeah we're gonna have the same Australian outback landscape for both an alien planet & Ragnarok.

I'm seriously gonna lose my sh@t if I see kangaroos hopping around in the background!

I can maybe see the outback stand in for Muspelheim, For the next Thor movie.

I don't know if they are necessarily doing much on-location shooting there. I guess they might, cause I think Ridley did do some location scouting there, maybe? I can't remember.. But, I think they were trying to score a big sound stage there, too.

I heard on the news here this week something about one of the studio's here, Most likely Fox Studio's in one of the cities.

Kaz, we really need to work on your grammar. *facepalm*

Yeah....that's the most important thing on this forum at the moment, Not the various news for this movie. But someone's else grammer.... 😬

The announcement of both films being shot here made the news this week.
Basically the Aust. govt has given both productions a $47 million grant hoping to generate $300 million being spent on Australian soil & the numbers of jobs they will generate here too.

Maybe I'm thinking too much but if Marvel needs that incentive for Thor 3 then it's not giving high hopes for the Thor franchise.

Nah Kaz will chest burst from a kangaroo's pouch.

There are some potentially spoilery-type things coming out about the new film in some of the recent updates on this website, so I will probably avoid dissecting them very closely, but here you are...

...also some somewhat disconcerting news, that the script seems to be going through some last minute re-writes before filming is supposed to take place in January or February. But the good news is that it's by John Logan who is apparently a pretty highly regarded.

And a potential release date of May 2017.
