I get what you're saying. Maybe its me.
Actually What The Creeper reminded me of was one of the Tales From The Darkside stories that came out years earlier called "A lovers Vow". Winged Gargoyle type creature and all. Here is a clip:
Originally posted by KazenjiThe creepers design is definitely better than the predators. The Predator is too typically humanoid. The only unique thing about his design is his face, which is pretty good, but almost always hidden by its lame mask. Besides that, it's cool, but it has nothing unique or scary going for it design wise. The armor it wears, the mask, the shoulder mounted weapons, the laser pointer, (etc...). It all takes away from the Predator. He looks cool, but definitely not fit for a horror movie monster. The dude looks like he'd fit more into Mortal Kombat tbh.
I get its your opinion and all that, But seriously Creeper's design is better then the Pred 😬..........Umm..no.

Predators aren't like serial killers, they are simply big game hunters. People aren't repulsed by trophy hunters because they don't understand their motives.
There is no doubt a certain thrill both serial killers & big game hunters get from killing...even possibly a God complex from taking a life & then having bragging rights by keeping a souvenir of the dead.
I'm just saying if an Alien was intent on killing me, I would accept it as natural to their instincts. I would accept that being human, I am a weaker being to them.
Whereas if a Predator was hunting me purely on a basis that my death is simply a trophy to them would make me question the sheer futility of being a pawn to someone else's sadistic game.
It looks like filming could be moving to Australia...
Ridley Scott to begin filming Alien: Paradise Lost in Australia by January!

There will apparently be a new cast of travelers...
The Prometheus Sequel, Alien: Paradise Lost will Introduce A New Group of Travelers
...though it doesn't seem clear where they will be headed... to LV-223 or to the Engineer homeworld along with Shaw and David, or both.. or somehwere else?? Hm..

Get back to me when the Creeper becomes iconic.

Predator is in Mortal Kombat X, you do know that...right?
I'm still a little annoyed that Scott went out of his way to distant
Prometheus from the alien franchise as much as possible and now he's counting on the correlation in hopes to draw the alien fan base. The only reason he's doing this is because of blomkamps alien 5. As a fan of both alien and Scott I'm not totally put off but I think had he embraced the alien franchise in prometheus we would have had a much more coherent movie

That's kind of what I'm talking about. It seemed at the time he was developing Prometheus (and its possible franchise) that he was trying to distance it from Alien, because he didn't want to do another Alien movie, it's been done to death, yadda-yadda. Those were his feelings on the matter more or less at the time. But yeah, apparently now he's connecting it to Alien in name only. It's just... odd. Maybe it's something the studio is forcing him to do to tie it into Blomkumpheahdphe's Alien sequel.. name recognition for the more general masses, etc. Personally, I think it's going to cause more confusion, not less.

See I can't buy that it's something the studio is forcing him to do because the studio was adamant about connecting prometheus to alien.hes the one that insisted it was its own story. Scott was always adamant that prometheus had nothing to do with the alien franchise. It wasn't until blomkamp had his script green lighted until Scott finally changed his script to prometheus 2 that block amp had to change his script to alien 5

That seems to be a contradictory statement.. care to elaborate? The plan was always for Prometheus to eventually (sooner or later) come around to meet up with Alien 1.
Because it was Ridley Scott, I think the studio more or less let Ridley do whatever the hell he wanted with Prometheus (or as it started out, "Untitled Alien Prequel"😉. With P1 the studio wasn't interested in doing another Alien movie and neither was Ridley, so they let Ridley explore the origin of the Space Jockey. So for P2 Ridley and the studio must have agreed on the name change to tie it in with the newly greenlit Alien sequel.
That's the only explanation I can come up with.
I'll put something else in yer mouth if you don't just agree and zip it...
