I don't think Rapace will put her career on hold waiting on this possibility.
I mean she was meant to feature in the original sequel then that story got re-hashed...I doubt she'll put too much hope in re-appearing in the 3rd instalment.

Why wouldn't she? She loved working with Ridley. Everyone seems to. And why would it put her career on hold?
It's just odd that she was already scheduled to fly to Australia to shoot some scenes and now she's not in it at all?? Strange.. rewrites are apparently a b!tch.
I mean she's not exactly going to knock back other film commitments on the promise that Ridley may or may not write her back into the storyline.
She may respect & enjoy working with Ridley but there's a big difference to say the sequel will continue your journey to the Engineer's World & you're the main star alongside Fassbender to hey sorry but you're a minor role now, no need to be on set...
