I liked prometheus as a non alien movie and don't like it as a alien film. I wish that they would have left the xeno out of the film, it felt forced like the studio wanted it in there because the fans wanted it. Now with scott changing directions with this new film from a prometheus to an alien movie, it's now even more clear that this is what is going on. It's the venom/SM3 thing all over again.
I'd like prometheus and alien to be separate and not at the same time. Well not rushed into one film anyways.

Didn't Ridley Scott already stated that Prometheus Films and Alien Films are in the same universe? The Prometheus Films being prequels to the Alien Films, would eventually lead to events of the first Alien film. From what I heard, Alien Covenant plans to reveal the origins of the Xenomorphs and why the Engineers are creating this evil biology. Ridley mentioned the Engineers are trying to protect themselves. I have a feeling Ridley might reintroduce one of Jon Spaihts's ideas from the Alien:Engineers script. I really hope Ridley uses one of Spaihts's ideas. Namely the Beluga-Xenomorph 😈

TBH I wish she would return 🙁 But coming from what I keep hearing around the net, Elizabeth Shaw's role in Alien Covenant might end up being flashback sequences.
I think they might do some out-of-sequence story telling and then (hopefully) return to Noomi Rapace's character Elizabeth Shaw. That was one rumor I heard, which makes sense. Because it seems a bit odd to cut her out completely seeing as they announced a few months ago that she was even scheduled to fly to Australia to film.

That's just going back to the past again, with Ripley and Hicks no matter the fact it's been 30 years. I know some fans want the continuity of Alien 3 & 4 wiped from existence, I understand why. But give us something new for the future. This, in Prometheus and hopefully in Covenant, is something we haven't seen before.

I hope this isn't garbage, someone needs to fire all these movie writers . Or have someone without pride come in and make these movies better. It's like their terrified of doing anything new or different in their movies, what is it pride?
Is this going to be the same boring routine of movies coming out for 10-20 years from now? Forever ?
One "Ok" Movie, then a bunch of garbage and low budget sequels and prequels that really make no sense and hype you up to go watch a boring movie. Then rinse and repeat
I think our own pride keeps us from realizing this.
