But the gap between them still was not enormous. Obi Wan managed to land hits, and even disarmed Anakin at one point.

Though I think the "enormous gap between them" stuff has subsided.

Why on God's green earth do you guys think what he quoted shows Anakin is superior... The entire script he posted makes the point even more clear in my opinion. It even says Kenobi gives ground beause that is his way.. It even mentions him hesitating... it mentions him not wanting to kill Anakin. It mentions him having all these feelings.. ALL THE WAY till they are fighting in the lava... So what does that tell us... kenobi.. was landing blows.. actually landed the most significant strike of the fight.. flooring Anakin... and even disarms anakin... ALL of this while HOLDING BACK. When he decided not to hold back.. he ended the fight in a little bit.. Yet all that leads people to say ANakin was superior... errrrr.... no.

Based on the novel, it does suggest Kenobi was hesitant to kill Anakin until he let go during some part of the fight. Not to mention I'd we use the novel to fill in gaps when they fought, Kenobi had Vader without sabers, but mercy held his hand.
