Well, that Bardock film was so good because it had a direct canon tie-in while still not being a bit dumb like many of the films end up being. It was also a great story. The only thing I did not like about that film is Bardock's death at the end at the hands of Freiza. That said, by that point, we know that Goku defeats Frieza, Bardock knows Frieza will be defeated by his son, etc. Bla bla bla.
But, you just grow to hate Frieza so damn much which tells me that writing was pretty dang good and they knew how to make a good villain.

Yeah, people who say Battle of the Gods is atrocious or an abomination obviously forgot about some of the previous failures like Bio-Broly (which also cancelled another Broly movie from happening where Goku was supposed to have a rematch with him in hell/HFIL, as the ending of Fusion Reborn had hinted).That Bardock one would be #1 on my list as well, followed by the two Cooler movies and so forth.

I put Tree of Might as my favorite DBZ movie.
I like seeing Goku kick ass in normal form, as after Super Saiyan becomes reality you don't see them fight in base much or at all. It was just so damn gritty, everyone was involved, all the pre-frieza Z-Fighters, and when Saiyans are fighting in normal form, and you know that's pretty much all they have left to give, barring temporary amps like Kaoiken which hurts them as much as it helps them. Again, gritty.

I don't how it makes any sense but I hope Vegeta gets even more respect in the next movie(s). He definitely deserves it at this point.
One topic that I hope is explored is how unlike Goku, Vegeta seems to be at his more powerful when driven by Rage and other negative emotions. Vegeta wrestling with those demons is one of the things that makes him the best character in DBZ imo.

Only possible explanation they could loosely give for Vegeta performing better than Gohan is saying that Gohan has been slacking off once again while Vegeta has been constantly training non-stop. Still wouldn't make sense, but DBZ is not known for consistency nor its intricate plot points anyway lol.
I agree Buu saga should have ended with Vegeta's sacrifice, but whatever. IMHO the entire thing should have ended with Gohan's defeat of Cell anyway.

I liked the introduction of the Grand Supreme Kai n'all that mysticism. Speaking of which, Mystic Gohan was also awesome.

And again: there was no logic at all behind how SSJ2 Vegeta did astronomically better than SSJ3 Goku and Mystic Gohan against Bills. Heck, not even punches from SSJG Goku rocked Bills as much as Vegeta's blows did. T'was naught but illogical fan-service, imho. Still phucking awesome, though.
