It does not seem plausible since, as pointed out already, he doesn't use this super quick magic in the final battle. Once he believed Harry was out of the picture there was no distraction. He also could have created them before he even entered the fray directly.
It's not unless you can prove he can do it on a whim like some other spells. Snape could heal Malfoy's cuts fairly quickly but it took time and his full attention to do so in a fight it would probably not be an option
