Still not IM3 figures but you have to remember IM has always been the most popular of the movie Avengers. So the Avengers boost just did wonders for him.

But not sure how much better Cap will do tbh. His first movie was not as big as Thor or IM, and he's probably the least popular Avenger. Plus by the time his sequel comes out we already would have had 2 Avenger sequels with IM3 and Thor2.

Nah; box office has proven Hulk is the least popular Avenger. 😈 They aren't trusting him to carry a movie on his own for the foreseeable future, they are booked to the end of 2015. Cap may never be as big oversees as the other films - just because of his name - but a successful first film should make his second one even bigger.

Oh yeah TIH did the worst box office wise. But I can't help but feel that had a lot to do with the bad taste Ang Lee's film left.

Still I can't imagine Hulk being people's least favorite superhero from The Avengers given his scenes were some of the best.

Yeah after Avengers a Hulk movie would do rather well imo

It's just hard to think of a good sequel story for him, that will fit well on the big screen.

But I actually really enjoyed TIH.

So did i. It's probably best not to over use Hulk i guess. So that when we see him in Avengers 2 he'll have more of an impact. Plus they are probably gonna go the whole "Banner is in hiding and hasn't become Hulk in so long" angle so not making a movie helps to get that across

They should do a FF movie with Hulk, Ghost Rider, Punisher, and SM. If not SM, then replace him with Daredevil. 😛

Why didn't they make pepper rescue? With all the armors and Stark being the way he was in the movie seemingly making a armor for multiple situations why not make one for pepper? Much better than What they did.
All That needs to be changed is her not getting injected and when she falls a armor lunges at her but it's unknown if it got to her in time or not.. Then later it can boot up and sync with pepper so she can use it freely instead of just laying in flames.then she can step out and be cool.
I also don't get how Ironmans armor self destructing couldn't kill that prick but pepper throwing one of his rockets killed him. Someone please help me understand this.

That was the wrist mounted missile that we know is at least strong enough to explode a tank, from the first Iron Man film. She used the repulsor to crash it right into the inside of Killian's body, where it detonated. Why was that more effective than trapping him in a suit of armour that exploded? I think back to the T-1000 from Terminator 2. Eventually capable of recovering from attacks all over its body, but when a grenade launcher shot a round inside it's body and then detonated, it did screw him up pretty badly; the fall into the molten iron pit did the rest. I think the same was true of Killian; have something explode inside his body that generated enough heat, he couldn't recover from that.

Thank you so much for Giving me such a good answer! hug
One less thing to bug me about the movie.

Sorry if this was posted or asked already, but can someone explain to me what the hell was the director along with the team thinking when they were shooting this movie with the villain? I definitely didn't see it coming but a bit cheesy, or is it just me

Shane Black hates the Mandarin character because he thinks the Mandarin is a stereotype. But then decides wouldn't it be great if he created this twist involving then Mandarin to hype up his movie. He was thinking it would be a great idea...or maybe he wasn't thinking.

So if Tony could have the surgery to remove the shrapnel and arc reactor magnet from his chest. Why not just do that in Ironman 2 when he was dying from palladium poising, instead of being forced to develop a new "impossible" to create element?

I think it has to do with Maya's healing properties that she created. Surely, Tony used it

I think it was because it was still the power source for his armor. I also think he had other things to deal with like the government wanting his armor, competition, and new enemies after revealing his identity. He probably didn't have time to properly deal with the issue.

Finally saw it. Even though I enjoyed it for the most part, I definitely think the Mandarin was LAME. The humor wasn't very good either. Iron Man still ranks as the best IM movie by far. IM 3 was a lot better than 2. My 2 friends hated it, unfortunately and they are actual IM fans. 🙁

I preferred Iron Man 2, personally.

I felt the Mandarin twist was completely against the tone and atmosphere of the movie, and even the characters seemed to lampoon it at times.

If he had been fake, and Killian had ended up being the Mandarin like a sort of Batman Begins type thing, I wouldn't have minded.

It might hve made sense in the story, and it might have been a smart moeve by Killian, but I can't help feeling there'd be more outrage if this was done to a more popular villain.

That said, I liked the movie for the most part. It was enjoyable, and not nearly as bad as the likes of Elektra, for example.

I think I might prefer IM2 as well. I was disappointed when I first saw it, but I've actually watched it a few times and still enjoy it.

Justin Hammer was hilarious as the evil Tony Stark wannabe. War Machine got a good load of action. And the car race track fight was cool. As was seeing Black Widow in action for the first time.

Yeah, wtf was that.

Hey, I don't think it was balls. I just think it's the weakest of the trilogy.
