It was shown in comics that Loki can be koed by sufficient blunt force to the head. Thor rocked the shit out of Loki with one blow almost one shotting him. And this Superman is astronomically more powerful.
Brain bashing =/= severed head. Even Surfer survived being seperated into pieces (PIS IMO) but always is susceptible to being koed.

*I'm not comparing Marvel's Gods to DC's Gods, btw. Marvel has placed much more emphasis on their Gods over the years, thus they have naturally accumulated a LOT more(and a LOT better) feats by proxy.
However, I do believe that if, say, Marvel's Zeus and DC's Zeus were to appear in a comic together, they'd be portrayed as equals. /shrug

Darkseid himself has feats that put him firmly in the upper echalon of the skyfather tier. By proxy - the likes of Highfather, Ares, Zeus etc. are in similar tiers.

problem is no one ever acknowledges that fact because of what it means for darkseid. point of fact is, that darkseid himself has destroyed and absorbed the power of entire past pantheons. a ridiculous feat. at one point, odin (dc) was afraid of darkseid, and i would say the versions of odin are indeed equal--or close enough for the difference to be negligible.
anyway, superman wins this, and tbh i could very well see it as a stomp. :/

If Odin got his butt beat by Surfer, or rapestomped by Thanos in straight-up fights on occasion, well... let's just say most people's respect for him would probably lessen also. And extrapolating by proxy across comic universes to excuse this Odin wouldn't really cure that attitude. Which is just a long-winded way of saying this:
