Except all link's skill comes from HS directly. To surprise him with power/strength/skill he would need to bring something to the table that he didn't know about. Gears out of the question, he knows about his skill, that leaves strength.

Funny, his best strength feat doesn't involve any gear at all.

Naw, I was arguing for batman before you showed up actually. The difference was I was using batman's gear and intelligence to prove my point, instead of just saying it was obvious and ignoring the arguments in link's favor.
