really?! so it's not some kiddy-shit?

guess i'll watch it, then.

The first good bit of the first season is a little goofish and such, but it does have some dark moments here and there. Season 2 looks A LOT better.

Looks can be deceiving. But here's hoping.

Wow, that was excellent!

Indeed. 👆

Extended look at Darth Vader vs. Kanan and Ezra.

The only issue I have is the fact Vader can't just straight up kill them because of plot, when he clearly showed the capacity even moreso than the Inquisitor the first few times around.

20 MORE DAYS, BABIES!

So this seems to be the AT-ST telekinetic feat: http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/06/16/star-wars-rebels-season-2-premiere-clip-darth-vader-strikes

Ezra resisted Vader's TK, GG and GB Ahsoka :iwin:

Vader picked Kanan up with one arm and threw him around like a ragdoll. Dayum. The fact that anyone survives the encounter is PIS in the purest sense.

Damn good episode(s). Best one yet. 👆

Agreed. 👆

Great episode. Vader's portrayal as a bonafide Sith juggernaut was pure excellence. He walks into a room, and everyone begins quaking in their boots. He engages in a battle, and immediately dominates the field. I also appreciated him being depicted as a brilliant tactical strategist.

Also,

Spoiler:
I was surprised that he learned of Ahsoka so early... Figured that reveal would be saved for a finale, or somesuch. I also think Ahsoka definitely knows Vader=Anakin, but for some reason isn't telling the others just yet.

Apparently Ahsoka is on a different journey during the course of Season 2 that intertwines with the journey the Ghost crew is on. Maybe she's trying to research more into this Sith Lord Kanan & Ezra encountered - get more answers.

Pretty good premiere. Vader was portrayed very effectively here on all fronts: warrior, strategist, pilot. Similarly to how Filoni and co. portrayed Sidious in TCW, there's an appropriate reverence for the character. Vader was the star of this episode and its sole reason for success.

The duel was entertaining, though obviously not as epic or engaging as other TCW/Rebel duels {"The Lawless" is still miles better} and I maintain that Vader should not be utilized this early with these clowns, but I won't deny that he was portrayed very well.

The Vader/Ahsoka psychic scene was also really good. And this episode reaffirms the Emperor's total supremacy with that wonderful shot of him looking down on Vader. Vader's a BAMF, but he's still Sheev's b1tch.

^ I think the rest of the season will shift emphasis away from Vader, and focus primarily on the new Inquisitor. I have a feeling that Vader will be used sparingly... Which is how it should be.

When all other machinations have failed, Vader is who Palpatine personally sends-in to dispatch final judgement. He is the Empire's deus-ex ringer.
