^ I think the rest of the season will shift emphasis away from Vader, and focus primarily on the new Inquisitor. I have a feeling that Vader will be used sparingly... Which is how it should be.

When all other machinations have failed, Vader is who Palpatine personally sends-in to dispatch final judgement. He is the Empire's deus-ex ringer.

Perhaps my biggest longstanding issue with Rebels is that it involves itself entirely too much with A-list characters. The galaxy is a big place and I can't imagine that the trouble the Spectres are brewing on Lothal merits the attention of VIPs like Tarkin and Vader {numbers 2 & 3 in the Empire}. I've heard before that Kanan being a Jedi warrants that attention, but I still don't see it when the Empire employs a small army of Inquisitors. To say nothing of cameos from people like Lando. I mean, come on. Now you've got lesser but still incredibly important characters like Ahsoka and Rex coming out of the woodwork.

I wouldn't be surprised at this point if Kanan and Ezra wind up in front of Sheev.

I'll also concede that the TOP SECRET MYSTERIOUS REASON for the Empire's scrutiny of Lothal could go a long way to rectify why Sheev, Tarkin, and Vader are involved with these nobodies.

Now that Vader is involved, I fully expect someone to die at some point in this series.

Vader is totally sending Barriss after Ahsoka and co. Both because Barriss is the person most suited to hunting Ahsoka down - after Vader himself - and because he knows how much that will mess with Ahsoka’s head.

I always wondered why of all the fighter ships in the Galaxy Vader chooses a Tie Advanced.

Now I know. No one can hit him in that thing.

Ya know I just kinda grew concerned....with TCW you knew and obviously expected the main cast not to die, because...well a good majority of them had to appear in Ep 3.

With Rebels I thought since the characters were all new, any of them were fair game. But then I started thinking....would they really kill any of them off?

Honestly the only ones I see maybe dying are Rex and his Clones, because they are old and I don't see much else they could do.

Aside from them?....I have this feeling, the cast is just gonna be hand held through all this and there goes the suspense of any of them dying. Which this makes me rather disappointed, because the Empire can never actually win anything in this series.

I doubt the clones will be in S2 long enough for them to die. I think they're just cameos, but I could be wrong.

I can't picture any hypothetical where Ahsoka survives, though.

Did you watch the Siege of Lothal? Lol, the Empire raped the Rebels.

I did and yes the Empire did wreck, but what I mean by winning is like actually killing the important characters.

Probably just cameos, but then considering the Empire found em and were blasting the AT-TE with AT-ATs it seems like it won't be so.

Also that is rather surprising to see you type that about Ahsoka, kudos.

Meh, I don't know. I'm sure there'll be some consequence at the end of S2 with Vader being present.

Well, we'll see I guess.

Yeah, I just can't picture her surviving Vader, unfortunately.

I hope so..

We shall

A true fan you are of her then to admit that. 👆

You don’t need the constant threat of death to the heroes to make an engaging show. This isn’t Game of Thrones, it’s a kids show. The suspense comes from how the heroes will win not who will die next.

Never said that it has to be constant Ares, just that without it...I dunno, seems just no suspense revolving around their lives.

Few kids shows kill of the main characters or even make it seem that one will die. Even some of the best like Batman and Avatar: TLA don't. You just can't expect stuff like that from a kid's show.

I'm not expecting it, just...it's not just some kids show. It's Star Wars, plus it's not like there haven't been deaths in kid related media.

But anyway, I maybe just jumping the gun here, so we'll see what happens.

On a side note, I don't understand if Ashoka was knocked out upon sensing Vader's power, or if it's because she discovered his identity. So far, the producers have only stated that she has suspicions, but nothing more than that.

I agree completely, I'm also glad they are finally making Lothal worth their attention, but it should have been made clear sooner.

Honestly, I can think of little that would demand Vader’s attention more than a Jedi led Rebellion. Especially a Jedi who has slain an Inquisitor that was dispatched to hunt him down and who has outmaneuvered Tarkin humiliating the Empire in the process.

Really I can't picture a hypothetical where she dies, her fan following is so immense that I figure the backlash would be catastrophic, childhoods would be legitimately scarred...

Ahsoka surviving would just seem kind of convoluted and contrived whenever I imagine it. But, yeah, sure, there's a good chance they'll shy away from killing her for that sole reason.
